Garden space and master plan requirements

0:31Saurabha: Well, we have to have a certain amount of garden space, and according to the master plan this is supposed to be garden. Otherwise we're not allowed to build any other building there.

0:36Prabhupāda: No. Then, above that, that side we shall build.

0:41Saurabha: Very big building.

0:41Prabhupāda: Yes. That, big... Here you can simply have one story more. And what about this land?

0:52Saurabha: This is used now for storing sand. The next land or this?

0:56Prabhupāda: No, no. This.

0:57Saurabha: This will be garden also, but now we keep for storing, because we need that for sand here.

Proposed BBT warehouse location

1:22Gopāla Kṛṣṇa: If we have to add a second floor there, we can make it a BBT warehouse, exactly as per your directions.

1:30Prabhupāda: And why not others? BBT warehouse, there are so many.

1:34Gopāla Kṛṣṇa: Well, a big room will be very good, so when we construct that, we can have a big hall.

Structural weight limits and ground floor storage

1:50Saurabha: The slab is not strong enough to have so much weight on it.

1:56Prabhupāda: Oh.

1:56Gopāla Kṛṣṇa: Oh.

1:56Saurabha: It has to be on the ground floor. We were thinking of making a godown there in the back, in back of the temple. When we build the temple, we build also a godown there.

Apartment trade with Mr Menon

2:13Girirāja: Mr. Menon is willing to move upstairs.

2:16Prabhupāda: Hmm?

2:17Girirāja: Mr. Menon, who has a flat on the ground floor, he is willing to shift upstairs if we want to trade.

2:28Gopāla Kṛṣṇa: Let's have a look at his apartment today.

2:35Prabhupāda: So, you can make down.

2:39Gopāla Kṛṣṇa: Yes.

2:40Prabhupāda: Yes. That can be done.

2:42Gopāla Kṛṣṇa: Actually, down will be better for warehouse, because then you don't have to carry the books two flights down.

Preventing dogs from entering

Building height and floor count limits

3:40So how many stories this building?

3:43Saurabha: Three, four, five, six, seven, eight. Ground floor, eight.

3:49Prabhupāda: Eh? How many we are having?

3:53Saurabha: We have... Well, the height would come as same as that. This is the limit now. They don't allow any higher building.

4:09Girirāja: We could have had an extra story, but since the ground floor will be lounge[?] and public gathering place, so we're making a little higher plinth and a higher ceiling.

4:28Prabhupāda: Never mind.

Garage construction and garden regulations

4:36Do it nicely. And we cannot make garage like that? Hmm?

4:41Saurabha: Yes, we can make. How many garages do you want?

4:46Prabhupāda: That we shall see.

5:00Saurabha: The difficulty is there's a law that so much garden we have to make, and each garden has to be minimum 4,000 square foot, so it has to be one particular area.

5:12And our land has been divided in so many small pieces, so we have somewhere to make a big garden. Then everywhere else we can build.

5:21Prabhupāda: Do. You have got enough space.

5:25Saurabha: But we have to demolish... [break] [end]
