Human nature and the desire for profit

And she knows you give opportunities to become a second house. And if you feel your heart, you can... He hasn't walked in some beat, those budget, and I think I could give some money. He sits out as a provider of the mill.

And others will take advantage of what he has. Because every money is just like you know that we saw he has some funny some boy, but he got the opportunity and our country of the life, uh, that I was a TD.

I was not getting money, I had salary, and now I have to come tax money. I, I saw one boob, um, to that. One, and it's, uh, uh, now then he has bigger his brother and he's become a very businessman to go to 50 bigger now.

So the thing that my propensity is there, that as soon as I gave the opportunity, I suck the blood of others and become sad.

So unless he changes mentality, there's no question of changing capitalist, communist, or this or that. It's all easy.

So do we stop for today, or yes, continue to... we still have some more of Marx and we can do it tomorrow. We can do that. So, uh, so, uh, next continue with Marx. But, uh, money. Oh, that would say.

Oh well, since, uh, since capital is unnecessary for production, that the capitalists should be overthrown violently and, uh, the workers of the world should unite and overthrow the capitalists.

That we have already discussed this. That today I am never asked, tomorrow I am happy. Because my tendency is, as soon as I get some money, I shall become master. That is a tendency. That we have already discussed.

Today, one man is very poor man. He's in burner off. His brother was poor. But as soon as he gets little money, immediately he becomes the government. He imitating the same work elevation.

Suppose the a social system where everyone gets the same amount, no one gets an excess. That is, it's worse. That is not possible. But that's what happens in Russia.

Uh, the, the managers, they don't get much more than the workers. So everyone only can have a certain income.

Just like, uh, Amubadi's relatives, they sent her relatives in Russia some gifts at Christmas; the relatives sold the gift and used the money to buy wood to, to, uh, add a room to their house, and because of that they were greatly punished, severely punished by the state.

If they should have given that money to others, they should have been considered equally; that was the state theories. Is anything that I use for my own benefit wrong? So by the level, everything has made cause.

But by the closing of the story, I'm forced to a wife. How long will you go? By force, how you can change one's mind? This is not possible. Better say these things have only nonsense proposition. It can never happen.

Because anyone who is in this material world, he has the prime tendency that "I can be the lord." Love, Śrīla Prabhupāda. In the material world, everyone is seeking after some profit.

Everyone is seeking after some adoration. And everyone is seeking some distinction. This is the material world. So if everyone's food... Uh, food... I don't know. To make them equal by force?

Well, even the government knows this tendency, and, uh, for the worker who produces more, he gets glorified by the state; he produces more units at his factory than the others. And he gets a small bonus.

Why would he get a bonus? In order to, as incentive, incentive to it. That means that the tendency to lord it over... And it is inborn. You want some profit, I'll give you some bonus, provided...

They say, "I do not want any profit." And that is not possible. Everyone wants profit. How by law, by force, you can take it?

The same problem that in the winter season the bug cannot get blood, cannot come out due to the severe cold. So they become dry. The skin is practically dry. Very dry, completely; there is no blood. But the only...

But as soon as the bug gets opportunity in summer season, he, he can come out immediately by somebody and suck all the blood. So this is an example of the people in Russia who are forced by the state not to take property.

But as soon as they take that... As you have to give some gift because it is mine. And he sold it. And he realized it for his purpose.

That anyone is trying to get some profit by force to them, make it not to take property, but that, that is very funny. That's the point of the side.

Critique of communist ideology and state control

So Karl Marx made a manifesto called the Communist Manifesto, which lists ten points for social reform. Should we read them? No, I don't read.

The first one is the abolition of property in land and application of all land to public purposes. In other words, abolition of private property; all property becomes public.

Second point is a heavy income tax on those, progressive income tax, so that those who make more have to pay more.

The abolition of all rights of inheritance. This, this thing is not only in Russia, this is going on in other countries here. So people have been taught not to keep account.

All these big, big businessmen, they don't keep account. There is no personal income tax.

Suppose if I want to purchase from you something, make memo, no account; I give money, cash, I take goods, I sell it, no account. Then I got from my back.

But provided I have my rice book, then these things will be admitted in some time. Just like in our Indian system, there, a small grocer, he has no movement in us. He's quite telling. One like a two way of life is. Let's go.

He's going to do that down. So, as to the whole tendency that I want to govern this person somewhere, that on the property after the guns, I'll give my property, but I'm not sure by how much profit I make.

He may propose all these nice things according to you, but he cannot change the mind of the people, so all these proposals will be futile. Simply waste of time, that's all.

His idea is that the mind of people can be changed. It can be conditioned. But not in that way, by force, by force. That's not what... He cannot change the mind of his child by force.

And what we think of an elder man, educated man, is transferred. Mind can be changed by our bhāva. Ceto-darpaṇa-mārjanam. Otherwise it is done. These things will remain pure and create conflict even in the ordinary position.

They are utopian in the transform. He also wants to abolish inheritance, right? All right, and that is another nonsense problem. Because everyone's tendency means to give money to children. That is the law I have.

I have got some affection for my children. I want to give something for my children. Then how can you stop this and try? They are so practicing in Russia, they're going here, and whether we are seeing, Russia is not happy.

Russia is not happy, and they are simply waiting for another opportunity or another release. Then you give more things for us. We're not happy.

Similarly, we can study that, like saying there is rice boiling, you take one grain of rice and press it in the finger with it off. Then you can understand the whole pot is boiled. Come.

So we can understand the condition in Russia from the sample as well. We have got to study more. And we could get some idea by talking with the professor, how he seems to say that after death...

And he is passing off as a very big professor in the Indology department. In the same thing that his knowledge is like that. If the sample of the children is like that boy, then what is that, what is the rice?

Common sense. So far as we are concerned, foreigners, we could not get even food to our satisfaction. There is no mental, no food. Milk was of course available,

nor I that my resident, he would not have completed some day, and then that's the right from Korea with my deeply small cells. We bought some rice. What? It was from North Korea. The rice we bought in Warsaw. And uh, liquor.

Liquor, liquor. And I, or I got drinking on the road that did not sick. Uh, I think it was some kind of water. Maybe, but uh, beefing flat. Almost in heaven. People have been seeing them and feel them convinced.

Oh, I didn't know, yes. It was called the soft drink. Soft drink. Yeah, and I think that often is so much trouble. But these people were uh, descendants of warrior class, Janārdana.

So their natural inclinations were those things. No, no, the warrior class are not like that. Not that they're addicted. Vīta-kannada, they are called Kannada. Kannada, the Dhabita, the aud...

these are in, in India there's two slash. Mekha. You can't come back. Now you get me back hell again, you don't have sex.

Anyway, all property, all money, capital, communication, transport, everything should be brought into central, centralized, that is centralized in the hand of the state. Yes.

So what probably we have, it is centralized, uh, the member in the center business, right? That I think was there. And was me. So our diagnostic is the tenant is there.

Unless you reform that tenement, these things will be bullish. Now that's according to my theory they are doing that. But if you say it's going to be played, uh, how you shall stop this mail, what is that though?

Well, this program is first you change the social conditions, then the mentality will change. Yeah. In fact. Because you can yet and that is an available.

So first you have to change the mentality and the first thing. "That I do not possess anything. Everything belongs to the state." Very easy, very difficult to say. They go again. That is another thing.

But who... oh yeah, as an example, there was one woman who was in charge of the... maid in a hotel. Yes.

Although she must have known since childhood that the hotel belongs to the state, the foodstuff belongs to the state, everything belongs to the state, still she had proprietors who had false proprietorship over her kitchen; that kitchen, she would not allow us into that kitchen.

Even though it was not hers, we had every right to use it as much as her, not allow us. In that, yes. In the hotel. As well as some quarrel. He wanted to write to that still. How do you translate it?

Increase will I hold in a fight. It's not sure when they find someone who is deviating like that, but everything's laying on simply uncertain. You can get it slow by that. Have to, have to.

That's the only one called the motor. Slow that they sent the speech slogan. There is no cooperation. In this way, my language is equally non-cooperation, and there will be revolution. That's like Gandhi's non-cooperation.

That stage. Nobody will power it, you can. But we have pull it to me.

Materialism versus spiritual knowledge of the body

So the idea about... oh, all events are seen as physical reactions aimed at satisfying economic and material needs of mankind.

In other words, everything that happens historically is seen as a result of economic and material needs requirements. That's fact, I've already explained. Because I want to make progress, you have to make profit.

So as soon as there will be a check in my profit-making, I used profit, then we can fight. The reason is that I want to make profit, you want to make profit. The money is that the second price.

So as soon as our interests clash, they trace this. So the sad truth is that the whole thing is a revolving principle of economic uh desire. Yes. That is a, uh, that is pūjā, pratiṣṭhā. Lābha is profit. Why I want profit?

Because if I got money, then people, I don't know... You are bought. Give me the big, uh, the both, uh, the black and you... He becomes king for times, I'm just so blessed. In this king, oh, I am blessed. I like that.

He goes in and get me up with it. Oh, I'm so glad. I like that. Because a man's nature is a result of historical forces. Therefore ideas change according to material condition.

In other words, these ideas cannot say, this basic idea, that I want some profit, I want adoration, and I want some position. Because its principles have someone actually... materialism.

They keep everything aside to matter. It was easier. No basis of knowledge. So the human thought's ideas are material. In fact, there's nothing. Matter thinks.

But his idea that matter changes through history according to economic uh development, economic change. We, we get our knowledge from our position, just like this last week. But these are the fire.

Everyone is after some profit, some reputation, and some position. Therefore these things have been forbidden for those who are advanced in Kṛṣṇa-bhakti.

If the teacher has got all these material desires, then he cannot have kīrtana. Desiring something for material profits. So bhakti is, one must be completely free from all these desires, material desires.

Without any aspiration for resultant action of knowledge and power. The knowledge may, just like jñānīs. They are cultivating knowledge, but their aim is how to become one with God.

That is, that means he wants to get a position, to satisfy. Now each one to get a policeman of God, I'm superficial in fine, but he is a mercy. He does not possess anything.

But by sacrificing all position in this world, he wants to take positions of the Supreme Lord. He's not given up anything, everything, but I want to rob you of you. This is paridana.

He has another slogan that human existence has no true reality. In other words, he does not know what is reality. He's a fool. So he says that that reality of the world, that is the way our body everything is changed.

And this body is changing, the body changes. And that's not a very good idea. Jīva, jīva me. Jīva. But the bīja-jīva... And we changed. Just like we're dying. So that is not a very leading purpose at this. It's a nature's way.

And that's why I say this theory, this mayavada theory, it is a lot of work that That is patiently. We are teaching people to come to that standard. It is never like just like we are trying to serve Krishna.

This is not one thing. Yes, serving Krishna. And we go to bhakti. He had Krishna. That was his goal. With some incident with an easy sādhu-saṅga, not like Mahārāja, Prabhupāda said, "Then let me start Krishna now."

As soon as I've done the work, I didn't. I like kan. This is another blast. It's like I'm having you to take your shelter. And as soon as they get a foot currently, I run the food. Is it? No, I can't believe another knew.

This is my map. They are becoming one. That means I labor, I get a one. This is yes. And for me, that I want her. I get some literary and... India. Tell me. But one could be completely free from all these each other.

And then I should have thrown. Then what is bhakti? Anyukta-kṛṣṇa-śīlanam, please, so fighting bhakti concept in favor of my mindset, so long in food. Anything in your favor, that is not bhakti. So where is it, mentality?

He very blessed Krishna said that how you can give me mentality. Nothing in my favor. Everything in favor of this. It is impossible for this rather. They simply were for... Just like a child. He got the police.

And as soon as he found somebody that is not in his favor, any of him put his favorite. That I want everything in my favor. And I fall out of it by some easy. How is it in fact?

Economic development and social well being

The idea is that human nature has no reality of its own. That it is a product of the material environment. So if you put that in a balance, why you are putting in something nonsense as reality, if there's no reality?

Well, the idea is that if you put a man in a factory and you get him to identify with the state, the production of the scientific achievement, and say that is our problem. Because he has got the basic disease.

He'll say that "I'm working for her, but this property will not come to me." He'll be immediately slacken. Just like there is a problem. Prabhakas will turn into gold.

But as soon as there is lacking of this sense that "I'm not put by that," the gold becomes iron. That is Yudhiṣṭhira. That is Yudhiṣṭhira. They are not happy. They are not rich in comparison to other European countries.

Of course, no European countries have both, or has reached as a... that are practically safe. But it's still in that area, they are poorer than other countries.

Their... one of their methods is to constantly goad the people with the idea that there may be war at any moment. So the people are always thinking, "Well, we must protect our country, we must protect our country, work."

Well, they lose interest in the country on the basis of this basic idea. But I cannot make any profit. I have no property. What interest have I in the country? So the only negative, negative stress forces them to work. Yes.

"Your home may be in danger, your family may be lost. If you don't work..." What do you play? What? But do I get what I get? It's empty. So it is my impact.

Marx's theory is that the economic development is based on family affects. Yes. So if I cannot give good food, good rest to my family, the same thing. I'm working so hard. I don't mind working as laborers. I am happy.

So my wife and children is the same bread and this. So I am living my easily. That is the position of it. We are all in fact. He says that industrial and scientific work is the highest form of activity. That's funny.

But unless the scientist and the industrialist gets that he can profit for himself, he'll be reluctant to work. Their goal is the production of materials for the enhancement of human well-being.

The human well-being means results, I believe, to me. I can't get the fruit, that's not... This is human. I'm thinking in my way, human well-being. Just like Stalin, you're thinking in his own way, human well-being.

But anyone who disagrees with this, that isn't well. Lenin also did like that. Well-being is relative. Just like this. He's skinning for the family.

So the skinning, they will say it is only of you, not only for the right family, but then theorize it as well. They say the well-being for the most people, if something has to be sacrificed for that, then it's alright.

But that everyone says, everyone says, but um, these are all impractical propositions. And so far as, yeah, it's not we have seen practically these things are now being applied. Nice.

And at least we have seen that in Moscow, all big, big buildings, they are not existing buildings. All there is be. And there is more. That means their economic condition is not so sound.

The whole buildings are not very nicely... you know that, so what is that meaning? We are going inside, getting out from the National Hotel, uh, the big building, some historical library or something?

Library? Oh, the one around tourists? No. Just like our hotel was there, I go this way. And after this. Oh, eight times? Maybe. That is a very old wing. That is not a recent wing.

Similarly, all the buildings they show there, they are not recent buildings. The only fairly recent building was the university, that big building. Ah, that's maybe, uh, that one's not very, uh, very, not very clean.

That is not very startling. Uh, New York City? No. The idea is that well-being is measured by how many telephones there are, how many there is, how many... That's...

You know, when you asked for, he said, "Oh, it is more, it is very difficult." He gave us that people can go on this way and this, uh, and uh, now you can leave sooner. You're still waiting for a taxi. Do you remember this?

And we did it. We walked too. He gave us directions, we go and do this. We go to a hotel. Sooner than we wait for a taxi.

So either there is no sufficient taxis, not to compare, which will not get profit, or there is no sufficient demand. People have no sufficient income. Very.

In the other country, as soon as you want the taxi... In India, simply for the Indians. Let me get the taxi in India. I said, "Bro." I was 20 cents. I... I think you know better than his teleport. Yes.

Tell the taxi the direction. "Can you go this side? Can you go this side?" So as soon as he finds that when he is from that place, the taxi demand is near. He said, "Yes, I can go." Say immediately his number is good, please.

And he immediately informed the taxi service. This is the system. So when that urban country and the four proud of the philosophy, people are getting their good nicely. Uh, there are nine big lines for participants.

And for your ask very twice, this pan are his years? That boy remarked that he cannot go out. She found some college by talking because that he was so much anxious that it's... That's a fact.

Defining religion as service to divine law

Their idea is that religion is an illusion. It must be condemned, right? That's right. But, uh, he... he... he is purely... he's becoming decent now. He has many different... that is too conscious as he seems to not take.

But... but is that not means... I mean is. That's a fact. That's a fact within how many years. Well, it took a while in 1930. So within 50 years. He used to end up with a villain.

And in India, uh, we do not know where the millions began. Brahmā. So Brahmā's... tell us, tell us... religion, so to say. So really, our this basic religion is there. It's since so many long years.

And it's still being accepted by the foreigners for the last two thousand years. It's been the religion, the system of religion running. At least for him. I'll, I'll read his favorite definition.

He says: "Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creatures, the heart of the heartless world, just as it is the spirit of the spiritless situation; it is the opium of the people."

That's right. But uh, he does not know what is his definition cause. Why he accepts a basic way, nobody knows what is religion. Or maybe Bhagavad-gītā, religion is the call given by God.

If God is fact, then His law is also fact. It is not religion. That's like Kṛṣṇa, giving, yielding. What state of that mind, your mind?

So that religion is like a police force, as it is uh, uh, invented by the bourgeois, the capitalists, as a technique to uh, dissuade the masses from revolting by promising them a better existence or happier existence after death, so that they can exactly apply it to his proposal.

He has created a philosophy which is being enforced by killers, by coercion. And, and he promises of a better future. Better in the future, it will be better.

So he's gaining that value more than the... his is a religion also. His, his philosophy is like a religion. It's a very religious thing. Religion means that we have our dharma.

This cannot... you cannot give up. He thinks everything can be changed. Nothing is... uh, he is going. This dharma, which you uh, cannot give up, dharma. Just like I am standing on this floor.

It is not possible to stand without this floor. Okay? I cannot say that I can stand without it. No. And it is not possible. Dharma, one cannot give up in this. And what is the big as the really is service.

If that is really a bad, he wants to be service to the humanity by his uh proposition. That is easy. Why is giving this to the job? He wants to give her some habits to the humanity. Very valuable.

So everyone is trying to give some service. The father is trying to give some service to the family. The statesman is trying to give some service to the country. Honestly.

So he also trying to give some service to the whole humanity. So this service is always there. It's always there. And I will become a child is mad or you can sing or you can dance or you can whatever you may.

The service spirit is there. And in family also, the father wants to be servant. The state also, the prime minister wants to be servant. So this service is really... Now

we are giving service to so many cases and we are becoming confused and yeah. Therefore Krishna says that you give up all other services, give me service, and you cannot remain without giving service. That's a fact.

I tell you guys, give service to your country or to your family or even that you cannot be.

Therefore, the service is... it's not you may be a Hindu, you may be Muslim, you may be Christian, but that service spirit is there. That service spirit is religion.

But actually, by then learning service to so many objectives. That's what He says. Sarva-dharmān parityajya mām ekaṁ. Give service to Me anyway.

So maybe so for instance, communists and even to a certain extent the capitalists, they believe that service for the production of goods is the only real service.

So they condemn us because we're not uh uh adding anything to production, we're not working, we're not... the fact we can demonstrate.

Well, how they can condemn? We are giving service to the humanity for better knowledge. Then high court judge is not producing any grain in the field.

So he's not giving... sitting on the chair and writing five pounds, ten pounds, so you can say, he's not giving... Well, in one way is because he's he's uh course of the law that comes uh you know.

What about the... that this man comes to the office and sits down in the chair for three hours and is not service six hours. He protects my property, though.

That means not that anyone has to watch, and it has me to produce. But you protect what I produce. That's all right. That means brain is required. How to be protected? That is all the heavy.

But he says, "Allah is giving a manual," never in the factory or in the field. He simply... I wouldn't say give credit to the coolie and water. That's like because his whole basic principle is coolies, cool. They call that.

In an accident, one thing happened like that. One Marwari first of all thought that his manager is getting thousands and isn't doing nothing. So he said, "I will do without a manager."

And he was a good place to scientist, engineer, like that. So he saved him two thousand rupees a month. After a couple of months, that machinery went out of order. And that nobody could set it right.

And that man was called again, and he just only spoke on gold, and it's gold at Marwari. You were giving him a problem not for sitting on the chair, but you were giving him two problems for taking something like it.

And he covered it out of two lakhs. Because of the material, very story that one came, the... he had minister, prime minister, the other work, that we are actually what we missed in us poor salaries.

We are so poor fellows. So, "Oh, all right." So he followed the minister and brought one. Anything. All asked the teller to please immediately send this anything and let me know what is the weight. Thank you.

So I'll mark it to find out again. How to work to... where is this scale for weighing them anything? So if they could not do anything, they came there. What happened? Then we could not get to this scale.

Oh, Minister, you didn't find a way, anything? Yes, sir. All right, take it. So within six minutes he said, "There it is, uh, twenty months and like that.

So do I stand into that? Within some minutes we came there, and we say we test. So how do you get some very good test of that? This is, uh, not one to weigh at any time scale anyway. Then I will do that.

Yes, I took it to the boat. I wasn't going to bow; I saw the watermark and I marked it. And then after getting down this helipad, I put weight on it. So when it came to that, what I want. I understand.

So the king says now he sees the difference. Say me yes. Little mate. Buddhi is just a balancing. Buddhi is super. One has got intelligence,

he has got depth, and one has got knowing that can pull what these people are later, that can fool. We don't take advice from that. We take advice on Krishna's independent.

So religion is not into police force for keeping people in a new thing. He does not know what he needs. He does not know any time to define the year. He does not know. I have defined other beliefs. That is really.

Now, we are only need any Sunday, everyone is MBA, and he is Sunday. But he does not know where is Sunday in the successful. That it doesn't.

Therefore, Krishna gives us indication that you serve Me, and you have time to represent it. Well, you see that, uh, Dr. Stanley, don't miss me. He said he was traveling in Moscow.

One lady got in the train and she told him, "You look the leader with you. You must be very weak." Very weak? You must be very weak. He said, "Why? Why is it only weak?"

See, because they had the idea that only weak men can think of any. Yeah. That's the whole idea. That means bullies, I'll set up bullies, that's how they think that he is a project. Farming, talking, he can understand.

He's the leader. He's a big foolish man. His followers must be all fools. He says that the religion is made up by the capitalists; that means he does not know what is religion, and he wants to define religion.

What a foolish man. It has no meaning at all. Indian means you cannot say. Very easy. Then one... Mahatma Gandhi just around the...

to this day, because India is standing on Indian culture, although it is too difficult, and it is all broken, it's still all of an idling in this.

But their explanation would be that because everyone is so poor in India, they rely on religion for consolation. But it seems to do somehow other countries too, lately, yes. And one Chinese writer... I've seen this book.

He spent his life. That we want to study India, it is India. But more people go from India there at that time. No. That is... But when people come from the West to India, they do not come here to learn materialism.

They come here to understand what is God, these things. He said, "When you come to London, we were told that if you are religious, it's the ancient life, you didn't want to come to teach us."

He said, "Whom to teach? Your fathers and grandfathers were jumping from trees."

Spiritual platform as the final revolution

Darwin came. He said, "Whom to come and see?" You were not there. Very good. Yes, Darwin says there's a monkey. So you were monkeys. He says that God does not create man, that man creates God.

That is in a... as long as he talks. Tāvac ca śobhate mūrkho. He cannot understand. He is a fool unless he talks. Now he's talking. So I did not know that he spoke foolishly. But I can understand now he's a great fool.

This is the... this is the, yes. Yāvat kiñcin na bhāṣate. Mūrkha. You can dress... the mūrkha can dress himself very nice, like a gentleman, sitting among these gentlemen.

But a learned man and a fool will be understood as as soon as they speak. As soon as he speaks, like a fool speaks. One time I saw he did that. And I thought he was on such great subject matter. He's done it.

So by his talking, now we can understand he's a great fool. So there's his follower, Nikolai Lenin; he reinforced all of Marx's ideas, but he added a few touches of his own.

One is that revolution is fundamental, that history... there are so many revolutions, it is not that they are mere revolutions. There are other revolutions.

He studied the revolution and he says the history moves in the leap and progresses towards the communist leap.

He wants to make a leap into the dictatorship of the proletariat, and this he calls the final stage of development history. No.

We can say, and they may know it also, that after this there is more difficulty, there will be many others, because so long people live on the mental plane, there will be only the relationship.

Our proposition is: give up this mental concept, come to the right point, and that is spiritual platform.

If one comes to that spiritual platform, that is... that's like Yamunācārya says, "svāmin kṛtārtho 'smi," "but no more revolution, I'm completely satisfied because I'm now thinking." The highest one comes to God.

This will be a God. This is final revolution. We don't have final revolutions, but that we don't expect that this account is taken by everyone. But within this material world, the revolution and then for your picture.

Mat-sthāni sarva-bhūtāni na cāhaṁ teṣv avasthitaḥ. That is the basic thing. That people are testing up the knowledge, knowledge, knowledge, knowledge, knowledge.

So when one understands the Absolute Truth, then he understands everything. Kasmin nu bhagavo vijñāte. And Bhagavad-gītā says, "na hi jñānena sadṛśaṁ." They are trying to approach the objective.

But they do not see the objective existing. Durāśayā ye bahir-artha-māninaḥ. They are simply trying to adjust by so many revolutions. This material, spiritual... But he has no knowledge that he is a spiritual being.

Unless he goes back to the spiritual world and associates with the Supreme Spirit, God, there is no question of happiness. Exactly. It's like taking a fish from the water.

There is no question of happiness of this fish unless it is again thrown into water. So we are... we are part of the cycle of the Supreme Spirit.

We have come from the spiritual world with the mentality for enjoying this material, but unless we divert, revert ourselves to that spiritual conclusion, we understand our spiritual position and go back to home, back to Godhead, when you come to this, then that is happening.

Otherwise it goes on, awry. But one unit and we... uh, it's... uh, there is this what? Inling place to me. All are the same, yes. Inling place to me. This is really me. So this is what she is thinking now. New.

This is the old after some day. And another main thing is that we'll be saying that this is the all. All are changed in the interest in this.

That all that one thesis is that this is purely... uh, nature of matter is there is always two conflicting uh, properties, and it's this inner... uh, what you call it... uh, impulse, this inner pulsation of opposite forces will cause history to take lead.

It's like you just said, one from one revolution to another. But the communist revolution calls the final revolution because it's the perfect answer.

Absolute truth and the path of devotion

I can take it in this sense, if the communist idea is spiritualized. So long the communist idea will remain materialized, it is... it is not final. We have got some state idea.

They said... we believe... they believe that the state is the owner. We believe God is the owner. So this state is a small state, as we have state. They can be satisfied.

But because it is on application, state is not the owner, it is God. From state, when they come to the conclusion, not the state but God is God, then they come to state ideas.

And as they say that everything must be done for the state, uh, we are actually seeking part of... we are seeking that Krishna is the owner. Bhoktāraṁ yajña-tapasām. Krishna says, "I am the supreme enjoyer."

Everything is that, like in our society. We are doing everything for Krishna because we know Krishna is the enjoyer.

So these communistic ideas are very perfected when they come to the conclusion according to the Bhagavad-gītā that Krishna is the supreme proprietor, He is the supreme enjoyer, He is the supreme friend of everyone.

Then people will be satisfied at this. Krishna is my friend. And this was passed. Suhrudaṁ sarva-bhūtānām. Jñātvā māṁ śāntim ṛcchati. Let's have a passage of the speech here. Yeah, we are here.

So, this is an idea, this idea can be welcome, provided we are prepared to replace the so-called state by God. Well... That's, that's pretty unlikely because they, they consider that reality is what appears to our senses.

Well, that's the reality. Then why is there, why is there that revolution? If it is reality, then why it is being changed? So in this material world, there is no such thing as reality. Nothing real. Everything false.

Śaṅkarācārya therefore says that it is... it is false. Then only what is reality? What is the definition of reality? What appears to our senses? Huh? What appears to our senses? Well, your senses are not reality.

And even only determination is, that's all right. You are senses thinking. But your senses are not reality. They are imperfect. Your eyes, you think are seeing real, but you are not seeing real.

Just like you see daily, seeing the sun, real you are seeing, but you do not know what is sun. That what is it here? Useful, useful, so, but you are seeing the sun.

You are, you know, the sun point is useful, the sun heat is useful, that does not mean that you have, unless you see sun as reality. The superficial beneficial energy. That does not mean that you know really.

Do you know you are getting sunshine, very interesting? Some heat, very. Does it mean that you know really what it is not? That's why they are there, simply byproduct. Simply byproduct. But we do not know the reality.

If you speak of reality, if you are satisfied only with the byproduct of the reality, then there is a difference. But when you speak of reality, it does not mean because it appeals to your senses, therefore it is here.

Because your senses are imperfect. You cannot realize anything perfectly through these defective physical. He says that if there is anything beyond the appearance of the physical world, it is also physical.

That everything is physical. Everything is material. That's all right. Physical, even physical you do not know. Even this is physical manifestation of this. Anyway. What do you know about this? You do not know.

There are so many planets. You cannot go even in the moonlight, a moon planet. He said it's only necessary to know what applies to us, what affects us. Then we don't talk of the reality.

I only need to know that which is useful for me. That, that is it for you. But you, because your knowledge is too poor. Just like a low-class man, he'll see this police constable is God.

Because he's a low-class man, the police can still take him into custody. And he's controlled by the police constable. He's not his father and mother. But for a high personality, the police constable is not it.

There's so many others. So this reality, he, his reality according to the past. He is a man with poor knowledge, therefore immediately affected by that Indian.

The trick child. he thinks the Lord in that, it is two cents one. He thinks it is this. But to his father, that two cents was not in the father, he is here. What is his word? Śrīla Prabhupāda nice to see heads.

This sounds reality according to the person. So he is a man who full from the knowledge. Therefore, he is accepting reality which is giving him the immediate process.

Yes, there's like, uh, we consider the Kant's idea of the things in themselves to be the things for us. Again, so there are something existing in itself. That everything exists for us. Everything exists for, for my use. Yes.

There are animal logic thing, the disease yet. And both one boat tiger's head to eat a disease. He says that things for us. He cares that he can lose that, the energy. Because we have smaller.

They said not, which is another few things over. And this way, this way. One after one after one after, you can think of it. So this is do file calling to know. Just make a telegram, a chai, uh, two things, one one.

I don't know. No. He doesn't care. He's an Indiana. But indeed he. But for his father, he's got a, he's taken in anything that doesn't full knowledge.

To be the true class of man, there's that always talking about his own production and these and In fact, when he says that what is practical is the criterion for truth, that's also relative, what is practical. Yes.

But the back for life. For the child and that two is reality. But that doesn't mean that these equal to that one thousand dollars, no? So we have to find out what is really practical. Yes. The practical works in practical.

But I wanted to look for the value. But isn't it an absolute value? The absolute value is... that is only Paramātmā. That is our objective.

We check in the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam that janmādy asya yataḥ — the original source of everything. Satyaṁ paraṁ dhīmahi — I meditate upon the truth. Through... yes. Yes. Why not practical?

Do you mean to say that you are all Krishna conscious people, you are after something impractical? Well, they would say, well... You may miss it. What is your position? The practical thing is it makes us happiness. Huh?

The practical result is that we're happy. Okay. So anyway, unless you see practical, why you are up to my proof? They may say whatever nonsense they can say. So the practical result would be satisfaction. Happiness.

You are easy. But somebody says, "Oh, what you are doing?" But you, by eating, you can feel satisfaction of your hunger. Very quickly. Bhuktiḥ muktiḥ bhakti-māyā. You are easy.

If you feel satisfaction, if you feel strong, that is... So these men, both of them, they have a great state that philosophy can change the world. This is the janmādy asya yataḥ. Division. Delivery.

What is the original source? Delivery. Original. What is that absolute truth? Everything is united to... But it's absolutely true. Very true. Vedānta philosophy.

Yes, Vedānta, our whole Indian Vedic civilization is standing on Vedānta philosophy. Bhāgavatam explanation and Vedānta philosophy. Everything is there. Idea. So that's all. Tomorrow we discuss, uh, Mao Tse-tung. Huh?

Mao Tse-tung, the Chinese communist. Oh. Oh, Mao. Mao.
