Opening invocation and program introduction
Oh Ma Gyan Timirandasya, Gyanam Jana Salaya, Shaksurun Militamy, Tasmaish Shri Gurava Maham Hare.
I'm deeply honoured to be with all of you on this programme, on this evening, which talk about Bhagavad-gītā and uh we will distribute Bhagavad-gītā Gītā at the end of the program.
Honourable Minister Ashok told that Bhagavad-gītā is the main book for all the Hindus. But Bhagavad-gītā is the main book for all humanity.
The message of Bhagavad-gītā is universal, it doesn't know the uh borders of uh creed or nation or religion. And the proof is that all over the world now, because of the service
of His Divine Grace A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda, the founder of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness.
All over the world people read Bhagavad-gītā and change their life according to the Bhagavad-gītā. Gītā. Bhana Sangada, Santa Pakaju, it is Sandeshavana, Radisidare, Adakarana and the Asankhya, Jana Hidalli, Hadivakan.
I am coming from Russia and And for many many dozens of years Russia was declared as officially atheistic state and people were brainwashed to be atheist Nano Rashadinda Barthaydani
Halo Varsha Hinday Rashya Desha Nastika Deshaanta Prashita Vagitu Aliyavdevya Deva Rabake Vishwasa But
Spiritual science transcending religious borders
and more than two crores of Bhagavad-gītās were distributed all over Russia and people are reading Bhagavad-gītā and changed their life and follow Bhagavad-gītā. People they don't have to change their religion.
I remember one lady who read Bhagavad-gītā who read Bhagavad-gītā. She wrote to us back, thanking us for distributing this book. And she said, only after reading Bhagavad-gītā and then stood what is written in Bible.
Bhagavad-gītā Matphikit, Dharma Paragya, Martha.
Śrīla Prabhupāda used to say that Bhagavad-gītā is the spiritual science, and science is not according to the creed, according to the caste, according to religion. Science is universal.
Vijnana, yellow one we said, Adik Yadiritya, Veda Baba Jati, Mata Pantan de Rodilla, Adirita Babuki on the Vidyana, Vidi Mahano Kulake, it don't dari dipara.
When we take a medicine, we don't ask what was the religion of the scientist who invented this medicine. The main thing is that it works.
In the same way, when we take Bhagavad-gītā, we don't ask which religion it belongs. It works. The teachings of Kṛṣṇa is universal and it works everywhere. Yaushari Yawa Dharma Vijani Adana Kandy Dana Gyodha
When I first read Bhagavad-gītā, I was an atheist. I didn't believe in God. And I was so deeply impressed by the message of Bhagavad-gītā that I changed my life completely and here I am sitting in front of you and talking about Bhagavad-gītā.
So people in Russia, people in France, people in Germany, in America, they read Bhagavad-gītā and they try to follow Bhagavad-gītā.
Russia, France, Germany, America, and Tondu, Bhagavad Kita, and the both either Unfortunately, when something is easily available, we kind of think that oh, we can always we know Bhagavad Gita. We know Bhagavad Gita Andre Durbhagyvasvhagi, Bhagavad Gita, Tumba Saradavaghi, Siktaide, Dharpadali, Atkikeloma, Bhagavad Gitana Tumba, Dumbihravakita Vodita.
Every Indian knows of course this shloka from Bhagavad-gītā: Yada yada hi dharmasya glānir bhavati bhārata, because everyone saw Mahābhārata Serial. Lir Bhavati Bharata because everyone saw Mahabharata Serial Bhadali Ilgov Bhagavad Gita But
Global crisis and changing human consciousness
the main thing is to follow Bhagavad-gītā, is take Bhagavad-gītā to heart. To take Bhagavad-gītā seriously because this is the most urgent message which the whole humanity should know.
Now we are in this time and age where the whole humanity is in acute crisis. And people are trying to offer some solutions to this crisis.
Virus is just a little manifestation, this coronavirus is a little manifestation of the systemic crisis which the modern civilization is experienced now.
The ecological crisis is there, the whole environment is polluted, rivers are polluted, ocean is polluted, the economic crisis is there, and the moral crisis is there, people are experiencing the acute lack of moral values all over the world. Degradation is very rampant all over the place.
Bhatavaranikata, Jala Padushanay, Vayu Pashanay, Adhariti, Manushara, Praday Pura Adalik, Paday, Siriti, Halavalu, Tandra Galu Jakitina.
And people are trying to offer some solutions like for virus, they invent some vaccine. But is it really solution?
Albert Einstein, the greatest scientist of the last century, he said that you cannot really solve the problem with the same mind which created this problem.
Albert Einstein Prasimta Bhijani Garaditru, Indian Shetamadh Bhijany Gar To solve the problem which we all experience, including this coronavirus problem and all other problems which we have, we have to change the mind which created this problem on the first place.
Why the whole environment is so polluted now why people are leading such a contaminated life only because their heart is polluted.
chapter they can read Janara Rudya Lee Pudutionavita you know we may have ecology ministry this ministry that ministry to solve the problem but until our heart remains polluted, we will not solve the problem of pollution in the world.
So Krishna is teaching us how to purify the heart, how to purify our consciousness. Krishna Bhagavad GitHub Twist And the sign of a pure heart is happiness.
When your heart is pure, you become happy, naturally, spontaneously.
Core teaching of the Bhagavad-gita
And for that, as Honorable Minister Ashok said, we should remember the name of God not only daily, every moment of our life we should remember Him. The message of the Bhagavad-gītā is very simple.
It can be concentrated within two words. Just two words is the essence of the whole Bhagavad-gītā. Bhagavad Gitya Mukya Sandesha Tma Saradavagade, Adikevala, Yarda Shakta Kadali, Navadana Samara's Madhud.
At the very end of the Bhagavad-gītā, Krishna says, Now please hear from me the most essential teaching. I told you so many different subject matters, but now please, please, listen very carefully.
I will tell you the main secret, which is the essence of the whole Bhagavad-gītā. Krishna Bhagavad Gita Antadali Hirta Narjana Tumba Vishara Bakhiridini Adre Yala Vishara Sara in a Kelo on Hiritini.
And he says, man-manā: just think about me, remember about me. Krishna Heltana, manmana, and madu.
Man-manā bhava mad-bhakto mājyājī mām namaskuru mām evaiṣyasi satyaṁ te pratijāne priyo 'si me. If you think about me, if you become my bhakta, if you become my devotee, ultimately, I promise to you, you will come to me.
not to take birth again and again in this saṁsāra, in this Kali-yuga. And to remember uh the Lord, to always think about him, uh the method is very simple, which should just chant his holy name.
Hare Rāma Hare Rāma Rāma Rāma Hare Hare. Ram Hare Hare Krishna Nana Smariswidhana Guru Tumba Sradabhagade Hare Nandare Hare Krishna Mahamadravanat Just yesterday
one person came to me and told a story about his very elderly father. His father is around 90 years old, he lost his memory, he doesn't recognize his son, he doesn't recognize his relatives, he doesn't remember anything
and he he cannot even speak. But despite of all these conditions, only Sink Krish still remembers is Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rāma Hare Rāma Rāma Rāma Hare Hare.
Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rāma Hare Rāma Rāma Rāma Hare. He cannot speak anything else, but still he can speak Hare Krishna. And this is the proof that the Mahā-mantra is not the sound of this world.
It's coming from another realm and it helps us to be connected with God.
I don't the in Prahmanavithan, I do Hare Krishna Mantra in Dela, I do Bhotikashapala, I don't the Athyat Mika Bandu Mantra, I do Krishna Loka Dinda Bandide. And ultimately, this is what we have to remember.
Everything else we may forget, but we should remember about God.
Remembering God in happiness and distress
So now Namadivan Krishna Mana Krishna Namandravana unfortunately, as the minister said in his beautiful speech, we remember about God only when we experience difficulties.
But when the difficulties go away we think we shouldn't remember about God. We can make it without Him. But that's a very serious mistake. We should remember about God when we experience difficulty.
We should even more remember God when we experience happiness.
Now Pashtabandamatra Devana Nimpishabu Sukhaita Puda Sudanita Pudana Devana it to Gambiravagi now because the happiness of this world, the stress of this world will be gone, but our relationship relationship with God is eternal.
Krishna no no. And this border. And Lord Krishna only wants us to recognize this fact that we are eternally related with Him.
And to recognize this fact we should chant Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna, Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare Krishna Naminda Kivala objectionare Nau Krishna Nath Krishna
Himself says that at the end of life we should remember about him. And if we remember about him at the end of life, we will come to him, that's for sure.
Krishna Bhagavad Gita Lyrtani Nau Antakara Li. Savina Samadali Nau Krishna Nanana and this began that Krishna Nana and this But to be able to remember about him at the end of life, we should remember about him now.
This very moment. That's the message of Bhagavad-gītā. That's the glory of Bhagavad-gītā. That's the power of Bhagavad-gītā, and that's the gift of Bhagavad-gītā to every one of you.
And to put it simply, Śrīla Prabhupāda, the founder of our movement he explained this message in such a powerful and beautiful way that hundreds of millions of people in the world now take Bhagavad-gītā seriously as the main book in their life.
And now every one of you has the chance to take this Bhagavad-gītā, which is beautifully called by Śrīla Prabhupāda Bhagavad-gītā As It Is, Bhagavad-gītā Yathā-rūpa.
Path of returning back to Godhead
And you will be able to get this book, to read this book every day, and to remember about God, and ultimately come back home, back to Godhead. This world of birth and death, old age and disease is not our real home.
We should go back home to Godhead where Krishna is inviting us. He is saying, just give everything else and come to me and I will protect you. I will give you everything which you need and I will take care of you.
Yoga Kṣhemaṁ vahāmy aham. Jagatali So That's the invitation from Krishna which he is giving to all of us in Bhagavad-gītā.
Come to me and if we read this invitation very carefully, we will be able to find our path back home back to Godhead. Krishna Ama Lirgu and the Ahvana Patruna Kurta Villaru in a Loki Kevin
As much as all of you got the invitation for this program and somehow or other found the way to this program Krishna is giving you invitation in this Bhagavad-gītā.
So please take this Bhagavad-gītā and find your way back home back to Godhead. Ekarakranak Bhutha on the invitation passikitu, Adheriti Krishna Purda, Bhagavad Gityana in Putasani, Bhagavad Gita on the invitation pass.
Nan Lokak Bani and Invitation Putana. Please take this message very seriously and the result of it will be your happiness. You will become very very happy.
And that's the only reason why we are conducting this program and distributing Bhagavad-gītā to make everyone happy and to help everyone to purify our polluted heart and go back home, get back to God.
So with this, I again uh thank you from the depths of my heart for coming to this program, for participating in our activities and for reading Bhagavad Gita and remembering the Lord. Thank you very much.
