Setting up the presentation

And therefore, Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu, the Supreme Lord Himself, has to come here to show how beauty can save the world. He response a man in himself and he distributes his grace and his noises
the world, distributing his grace and his mercy so that every one of us can be part of this beautiful mission, distributing beauty to everyone. Look how beautiful he is.
He's smiling and he's inviting everyone to share this beauty of the kingdom of God. And this is the main theme of the source, Pañca-tattva, with this Rūpa and Sanātana as the center of team.
And practically the whole world is helping to get in touch is the new. All the people they are raising their hands and their belly to get little noises on board. But unfortunately, so many people are poor.

Śrīla Prabhupāda's arrival in Russia
And here in this little presentation about preaching of Kṛṣṇa consciousness in Russia, They are going to prove you how love is this transforming force. How the law can transform the life.
This is the symbol of Krishna consciousness. This is the former symbol of Soviet Union, but instead of hammer, there is this pillar.
So Śrīla Prabhupāda as a messenger, as an ambassador of the spiritual world, we came with the unlimited compassion towards the people of this world.
You can see on the display, slide, how compassionate Śrīla Prabhupāda is, how eagerly he is to give us little bits, little drops of spiritual word. In the course of his life, he came to Vṛndāvana.
And in Vṛndāvana he lived in this very hard... And this Rādhā-Dāmodara Mandira is famous because there is samādhi of Rūpa Gosvāmī. Rūpa Gosvāmī is the direct follower of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu.
And the name Rūpa means you're the one who formulated the whole theology of Kṛṣṇa consciousness. And Śrīla Prabhupāda Rādhārāṇī in his maṅgala-ārati was meditating for the mission of Rūpa Gosvāmī.
And it is said that Rūpa Gosvāmī himself came from his samādhi, from his tomb... Uh, this is the teaching of Śrīla Prabhupāda. Next window of this pavilion he was looking in this samādhi.

Soviet suppression of religious practice
Of course, the history was very difficult, but Srila Prabhupada knew that he was the ambassador of Krsna. And he wanted to share with us the term of people, the students who were around. Every single soul in this world.
Of course, there are almost the only forces in this world, and this is President, the former dictator of the Soviet Union. He posted himself as a very nice and kind person. Next to him, there's somebody from South Asia.
He was a friend of children, but actually he was the devil, we were the devil. He was putting people in place and feeding them. And still, a bold part of the day to come in this circumstance.
At that time, if you were to announce the word God, you will be put in prison. I had a friend of mine in the university, and he somehow I admitted that he believed in God.
He was kicked out from the university immediately just because of this crime. It was terrible to believe in God. Why? Because in Russia that time there was another God.
Here we see Srila Prabhupada with the servant that came there. On the red square there, and on red square there, there is Lenin's tomb. Lenin was the founder of the Soviet Union, and his tomb is still there, and his dead body is there in the tomb.
And he was the presiding God of Soviet. Here we can see this, that is tomb, that is from the leader. And Srila Prabhupada is looking like he's wondering why he was worshiping the dead body of Lenin? Why?
What is the reason for this?

Early Hare Krishna movement in Moscow

Global advocacy and religious opening
This is some of the tortures which the first devotees of the movement underwent.
And in the late 80s, all of the devotees convened the feast of the Hare Kṛṣṇa movement from all over the world that started protesting this and hearing the speaker, some of whom we know today. He was a child at that time.
He sang a very nice song and reported on a rapper. And this rapper was sent to Mr. Gorbachev. And the song he was reading, "Mr. Gorbachev, Mr. Gorbachev, please free my friends. Please release my friends."

And when people see this view of Krishna consciousness, they cannot help what we are doing. They are all very happy because this is the real religion of the soul. The soul is blissful by its own nature. And Mr. Consciousness is thinking about this bliss of the soul.

And even governments, they are attracted to these concepts, but little statistics. You can see this very sensitive. But of course, there is a very disciplined overview about. This is for starting. This is key.

Demolition of the Moscow temple

Opposition from the Russian Orthodox Church

This is the demonstration in one of the uh central squares of Moscow where the Christian people came and started protesting against the temple. The priest was uh speaking to this demonstration and was saying that
If you have a Christian school near the temple, we will destroy the temple. This is how much the tolerance is there in Russia. And all these nice thousand people came to be fooled by the
politicians in disguises and this person is so sad is almost in Somali and this response to him. So this is what the case and at one point after this demonstration uh the team channel,
the main TV channel, RТР, called for a debate. And he said, by the way, you meet these Christians and we don't see people who win. They will say your arguments and they say they are.
And in this TV day, there are four giants, and all four giants said that it is not born in a day. They stood there for the mosque. Unfortunately, that was not the end of the story.
There are some of those people became so upset at this, they continue their propaganda, and this is what happens. You know, after this religious intolerance, a gang of people stormed in the temple
in some other city, not in Moscow, and the head of this monk was slashed straight. And they were beating the devotees with the iron rods and sticks. And one of the devotees died from coma after 7 days. This is how still dangerous it is to preach in Russia. And we were trying to enter into some peaceful thoughts discussing for those people, being able to see some theological behavior is customers.
And this is the people can see they're very nice and generally they're looking like angels coming from the parents. And this is Sarathan's people. And then very people believe this. Very little. And carry much more than we.
So So this is again our difficultness. And because of all this difficultness, there is not a protection for us but the protection of the Lord. Here this little extra shows how we see that words from the morning forces.

Vision for a permanent Moscow temple
In any case, they want to do this glorious temple and we're sure that the Lord will help us to do this. This is the temple which we want to build in Moscow.
This is the first court of this in design This temple is spread the correct process movement all over Africa and all over Europe. And it will happen one day in our sooner or later, there's no doubt about it.
Now enter into some thoughts. This is another thought we used to have where the biggest temple is hidden inside. But something we will definitely do. Because Krishna consciousness is a very powerful movement.
