Reciting Srimad Bhagavatam eleventh canto verse
So today I will change the Bhakti Sangati Lipadiana and we couldn't. Today we will study with you the verse number 30 from the 20th chapter of the eleventh canto of Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam.
And the verse which we will study is Bidya te hridayagrantish chiddhyante sarvasamshaha Ksiyante Cha asyakarmani May Drishte Akilatmani.
So the translation of the verse the knot in the heart is pierced, all misgivings are cut to pieces, and the chain of fruit of actions is terminated when I am seen as the supreme personality of Godhead.
You no need for you to translate it or what? I I I will translate only the shloka Marath, not the purpose. Okay. Parampurusha Bhagavan Ahayana Khan Burda.
Okay, so the purport to this verse Hridaya Granthi indicates that one's heart is bound to illusion by false identification with the material body.
One thus becomes absorbed in material sex pleasure, dreaming of innumerable combinations of male and female bodies.
A person intoxicated by sex attraction cannot understand that the supreme personality of Godhead is the reserver of all pleasure and the supreme enjoyer.
When a devotee achieves steadiness in devotional service, feeling transcendental pleasure at every moment in the execution of his loving service to the Lord.
The knot of false identification is pierced and all his misgivings are cut to pieces.
In illusion, we imagine that the living entity cannot be fully satisfied without material sense gratification and speculative doubting about the absolute truth.
Materialistic persons consider sense enjoyment and speculative doubting to be essential for civilized life.
A pure devotee, however, realizes that Lord Krishna is an unlimited ocean of happiness and the personification of all knowledge.
This realization of Lord Krishna completely eradicates the twin tendencies of sense gratification and mental speculation, thus the chain of fruit activities of or karma automatically collapses?
Just as a fire collapses and goes out when the fuel is removed. Advanced devotional service automatically awards one liberation from material bondage and as confirmed by Lord Kapiladev.
Āśu hyakoṣam nirgīrṇam analo yathā bhakti. Devotional service solves the subtle body of the living entity without separate effort, just as the fire in the stomach digests all that we eat.
Śrīla Prabhupāda states in his purport to this verse: a devotee does not have to try separately to attain liberation.
That very service to the Supreme Personality of Godhead is the process of liberation because to engage oneself in the service of the Lord is to liberate oneself from material entanglement.
Śrīla Bilvamaṅgala Ṭhākura explained this position very nicely. He said, if I have unflinching devotion unto the lotus feet of the Supreme Lord, then Mukti or Liberation serves me as my maid servant.
Mukti, the maid servant is always ready to do whatever I ask. For a devotee, liberation is no problem at all. Liberation takes place without separate endeavor.

Comparing paths of jnana and bhakti
Hare Krishna. So in this chapter, Lord Krishna explains basically two main paths of spiritual realization, Jñāna Yoga and Bhakti Yoga. Although he says that there are three paths of spiritual realization in the beginning,
karma yoga, jñāna yoga and bhakti yoga, he emphasizes the two last one giving some attention to karma yoga, the two last one giving some attention to karma yoga, but basically speaking about this two one: jñāna yoga and bhakti yoga.
Arum Batil Moon Vicky Petri Pesyra, Karma Yogam, Yana Yogam Baktiogam, Analum, Silas Logan Patrick Pesi Brug, Mukki Mahindi Padigale, and Yana Yogam Baktiogam, you would train with me and Balli Pesira.
And the reason is very significant because karma yoga is not actually fully fledged path of spiritual realization despite the misunderstanding which many people have.
Karma Yoga is a very important process, but it's a preliminary process for the purification of the heart.
Karmoyhomor Mukimara Valimari, Anna, Ador Arambinale, Padilla, Adava the Idawak. Nature of the Supreme Absolute Truths, it only gives some dim realization which comes automatically by the purification of the heart.
But the real realization of the supreme absolute truth comes either on the way of jnana yoga or by performing bhakti yoga.
Paramasati patri neared Yana Puddele, Karmahu Bharangudil, Maraha, Adhiti Tweed and Mulamaha, Yel Bahavi Paramasati Di Pati Urbahaana Purdila would dai anal, Nyana Yogam Bhtio T and Mula Mahatan and the Paramasati Patri neared Yana Puddai.
And out of these two, jnana yoga gives the realization of impersonal aspect of the absolute truth which is Brahman and bhakti-yoga can give the full-fledged realization of the Supreme Absolute Truth as the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Bhagavan, Sri Krishna.
In the Erandukulum, Yana Yogam Bhagavani Pati or Aru Mana, Uru Puridalitana Makokume Tavira, Namak Baktio Matume, Bulumayana, Paramovusha Bhavana, or Navaraga, Aurinabaku.
This chapter is very important because in this chapter also Śrīla Prabhupāda very clearly defines the qualification for practicing this processes The idea and the humokema kin the bag in but the community but you bag one here.
Qualifications required for practicing yoga
It's not that I may choose uh voluntarily which process I can perform. It really depends on my qualification. It's not just a question of my mental imagination, you know, or maybe I will be gopin-vrindavan or whatever.
It's a scientific proces, and it depends on my internautin readiness, to perform this process or that process.
In a very mari, not Tanishama Tiranda, other can't anyway, in the manapona, both yahiri can be entered the Namad Sila
Prabhupāda often emphasized that uh bhakti-yoga and uh in fact any yoga process is a scientific process. It's not just a question of belief or sentiments.
It's a scientific process, and scientific process implies very clearly defined qualification to perform uh this path. And of course we know that basically Krishna wants to stress the power of bhakti yoga
because Jnana yoga, even though it's a very deep process and uh very powerful process. Nevertheless, it gives you only partial realization of the supreme absolute truth. It doesn't give you the complete understanding.
Adi Pariya Bhagavan Krishna Bhakti Yogati and Kwari to Kura Virvira, Nyana Yoga Manadha, Nisa Hara Manu or Viviah and Rampuda, Bhagavan and Pachya Kur Pasudiana Puridai or And therefore, at the end
of this chapter, Sri Krishna specifically speaks about bhakti-yoga and the power of bhakti-yoga.
In the previous verse, Lord Krishna said when an intelligent person engages constantly in worshiping me through loving devotional service as described by me, his heart becomes fairly firmly situated in me, thus all material desires within the heart are destroyed.
He says if you perform here bhakti yoga as I explain to you taking into consideration the qualifications for bhakti yoga, which is the attachment to the to hearing Krishna Katha, then for sure your heart will be automatically freed or purified from all the desires which is the main cause of our suffering in this world.
People have very difficult time even to understand that material desires is the cause of our sufferings because they think that material desires is the cause of my full life, of my enjoyment in this life.
They don't understand that material desires is the main cause of all our sufferings. Makal in the serious Purdue and some particular you know they turn Magalanit to mean a ukika, as a name, but they were put the I
Material desires causing human suffering
remember once I was giving a lecture to a very new kind of people who are not really familiar with spiritual life. They are kind of new age people interested in little yoga, little this, little that.
So I was giving a lecture to them and I was speaking about this point and I said that the material desires is the cause of our problems in this life.
And was l one lady, she was sitting right in front of me in the first row. When I said this, she just exploded. She was she didn't like it. She started yelling at me, you know. How can you say this?
Material desires are not bad, material desires are very good, you know. How can we live without desires? She was, you know, she was really uh indignant, she was really agitated by my statement.
Munwar is the word penbadi, Nani Kuriavodan, Vidikupona, our Mikha Kovaturan Kuri Nar, Baudigasi will yabara Santa Osma Hir Kmury, Mingle People
they can speculate or they can uh you know they can talk about karma and yoga and uh they may use all these uh terms and they may uh talk about joyish astrology and this and that but, it's very difficult for them emotionally to understand that the root cause of all our problems are desires in the heart.
And if you try to solve your problems by some way which does not touch your desires in the heart it will be just useless endeavor.
So therefore Shri Krishna says here that you know if you always think about me within your heart then your heart will be very peaceful place where I will situate.
Whereas if you don't think about me, the heart will be in constant turmoil.
Krishna in the Kurira, Yene Vungal Manatil, the Anam Singadhan Mulamaha, Vungal Manatil, Yenoda Yandam Nelithur Kumburda, Bodhiamana Tunbangal Hungalka, Bov the Bodhi Mana Asirum Badha.
And how you can be happy if you're not even peaceful, Sri Krishna says, Ashantasya kutaksu come, whereas the question of Sukha happiness if there is no Shantha Anam say Yavita Unda Mandakil Amay the Vita Undha pull the anandam why peri could If
you always plan about your future enjoyment this way or that way, how you will become this or that or whatever, there is no question of happiness.
You will always be in anxiety and you will always be agitated about you know all these future plans which will never be fulfilled
Achieving direct realization of the Supreme
at the end of the day. And
then in this verse which we studied today, which is a very important verse because it um it is repeated in Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam twice. Very few verses of Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam are repeated twice and this is one of the verses which is repeated twice.
First it appears in the very beginning of Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam in the second chapter of the first canto, and then it repeats this verse uh Sri Krishna himself repeats it.
Indraya Slokambihava Mukama either Mudamaray Bhagavad Telvari Pana Sloham Bad Bhakura either Bhagavadan Aramba Pile, Mudala Skandam, Irenda of the Diyatal Romari Vari, the eportumidum Bhagavan Tanda Tiruva is in the Kuriha.
Śūta Gosvāmī in the second chapter of the first canto of Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam after describing the gradual pass or the gradual progression, the stages of bhakti, the stages of internal development which person undergoes while practicing bhakti he actually puts this verse at the end because that's the final result or the final achievement of Bhakti Yoga.
Sutta Goswami, Iranda, Bhakti Padil, Padipudi Yahurvaray, Munekang Patrick Palasloh and Kuria Prah, Yridia in the Slotti Vikira, Adobe in the Slotin Mola Maha, Pakti Padi in Sellbour, Yu Diyara Kuria Pine and Panama Cover Plakiha.
And here also we can see that Sri Krishna puts this verse towards the end of this chapter where he describes these two processes and primarily Bhakti Yoga.
Adja it in Yirdian the Slowte Vikira Bhakti Kanyanam Bhakti and the Yerdeyam Kuria Prah Iridia Paktio or Bury Kurira. And basically it indicates that the success in Bhakti Yoga is when you see the Supreme Lord face to face.
Bhakti is not just some you know theoretical process which you you know may do for some time and then when you die something will happen to you.
Bhakti is very practical, and the proof of your success in Bhakti is then when you see the Lord face to face.
Bhakti and badu or yet are you ponder, Syriagalam Paige to save with the poor the Yado and a bonglay with the Indra, Ningle bhakti or the Paige Saved and Molamaha, Bhagavani, near Knera Carnival.
It is also said in Bṛhad-āraṇyaka Upaniṣad that Ātma vai draṣṭavyaḥ and then śrotavyam mantavyam nididhyāsitavyam.
So this process of bhakti is indicated is even in Upaniṣads where it is said that you have to ultimately see the Supreme Lord. He is somebody who should be seen or directly realized.
And the process of realization of the Supreme Lord, the uh direct experience the Supreme Lord is indicated in Bṛhad-āraṇyaka Upaniṣad by the stages Srotavyam, Mantavyam and then Nididyasitavyam.
You yeah, you first have to hear about the Supreme Lord.
And then after this, you have to think about the Supreme Lord, Mantaviyam, you have to uh you know, really uh deliberate about what you have heard. That's the second stage.
And ultimately it has to be turned into the constant meditation on the Supreme Lord.
The Shravanam is the first process, the first step, but the crown success of Bhakti Yoga is when we think about the Supreme Lord all the time, twenty-four hours a day.
And then when this meditation becomes steady, when the meditation becomes uh constant, uh then only you will be able to see the Supreme Lord.
The same thing Shri Krishna himself says in the previous verse where he says, asakrit, when you think about me all the time constantly, then I will be firmly situated in your heart and all the material desires will be driven away from your heart by the fact of my presence.
And here in this particular verse which we try to study and understand very deeply, Sri Krishna says about the three side effects of practicing bhakti.
The main The main result of bhakti is seeing or experiencing the Supreme Supreme Lord, having the direct experience of the presence of Supreme Lord in our life or in our you know in our dealings within our heart basically it can be by the way of spurti when we have just you know momentarily little vision of the Supreme Lord or it can be deeper realization but in any case the main result of bhakti is that we have the direct direct experience of the Supreme Lord.
We see Him. Carnival. Our an either to call over in the island and our day pungi on the pudding, there and the carnival.
Overcoming false ego and physical attachment
But uh there are three side effects which are also very important and which is the indirect way to show that we are successful in practicing bhakti-yoga.
It is said here: "Bhidyate hṛdaya-granthiḥ." So this is the first two results, that your knot in the heart becomes pierced. And it basically means this is uh that you don't have false ego anymore.
You don't identify yourself with your body and your mind. You don't really take seriously what is happening with the body. Of course, you take care of your body because it's an important instrument, but
uh you're not really fearful uh about what is happening with with the body. When this hṛdaya-granthi, the knot which ties the soul to the body, is still very tight, then we constantly
in anxiety about what is uh what is going on with my body.
We always think, you know, I I need to drink, I need to eat, I need to have sex, I need this, I need that, you know, this thought process is constantly circling around the body because this is how the false ego works.
False ego is basically making our thoughts circle around the body all the time. I, mi, I, me, I, mine, this and that. In the beginning, uh even when we practice bhakti-yoga, when we chant Hare Krishna,
We chant Hare Krishna and we are supposed to think about Krishna, but we chant Hare Krishna but we only think about ourselves.
What I will do when I finish this chanting, how I will enjoy today, how I will enjoy next week, how I will enjoy next month, how I will enjoy next year, how I will enjoy when I retire from my work.
All this kind of stuff is constantly uh going on within our mind. Up to Nam Krishna Putin with the terrible.
Analam Namam, Namari Sothepatin and the Khaker, the Indri can ever sound, Urvaram could ever seven, Wormadam could under the end of the Wyom better than we Because the false is
so strong, it just forces us to think about I, mine, me, my glory, this and that we we we we don't have time to think about Krishna because false ego forces us to do it, forces us to think about ourselves. Ankaram Balur and Pan Karamaha. Krishna put in any non yanade and with the number of the endam chell here. In the polyankaram, Namaya and the Bahai, you chell here the Yenodaya, Yenodaya Yanba But
Bhakti Yoga gradually gradually changes the course of our thoughts because you know, mm all the sorts of enjoyment uh they they become weaker and weaker and weaker uh while we practice uh bhakti yoga.
In the beginning they are very strong, but gradually, gradually, gradually this the course of the thoughts in a very gentle way changes completely. Now we are uh called uh bahir muka or vimukyata is the main problem.
We are turned away from the Lord. We are not looking at him.
We are looking in the opposite direction, and we are seeing this, his material energy, māyā, and we try to enjoy this material energy, māyā. This is where we are looking at.
Therefore, we are called Bahir Mukkha. We are extroverted.
Bhagavan in Oki Parkivit, Namura, Maya Santi and Oki Park, up for the number yandanger, Bhagavani without Bodhiumani wishing Lilane and Madam Nelithu, the Indudan Namulka put yelling.
But gradually, gradually our consciousness turned by the process of Bhakti Yoga in a very natural way towards the Lord. And we don't even notice how it happens. We start thinking about the Lord more and more and more.
Anal Bhakti Uh, Nabay Manam, Patiputya, Namaya Ariam Yelbana with the Bhagavani no kitripa party, upur the name the Sunda, Sunday and Nagari Vitivita, Bhagavani
Pati Dana Grip Pipuri Until we reach the point where we cannot even think about ourselves. We only think about Krishna, we only worry about Krishna. All our thoughts only about him.
Mother Yesoda doesn't think about herself. She doesn't think about herself even for a split millisecond.
She only thinks about Krishna and and therefore she is always blissful because Krishna is so blissful and she's always meditating about his blissful qualities.
Our Tanapati and at the Edu Mara Yapul and Krishnari Pati and the Kodako, Arn the Vadium over in Karanatinal, our man the Anna the Tilaya Light, who can go to Tanepati and them or Katon with it.
So the first result, the first side effect is Bidya te gridaya granthis, the the grant.
The note in the heart becomes slackenond, it it does not become so tight and we don't have to think about this body, worry about this body, be afraid that I will die and you know I will get disease, this and that.
So that's the first result. And the very important thing here is that all the verbs in this verse. The verbs in it matters. They basically mean they are reflexive verbs and indicate that this verb, what is described
here, is happening automatically without our conscious endeavors. It's not that by our conscious endeavors we try to slacken the knot in the heart or to undermine the false ego.
It happens itself without our conscious endeavor, conscious desire.
Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura stresses this, he quotes, and uh the uh commentators of this verse also quote the verse from uh Kapiladeva, "Jāyate 'sau yakośam, nirgīrṇa-manaloyathā."
Uh in the same way, we don't really think what will happen with the food when we eat it being digested automatically in and this process of purifying the subtle body or
digesting the subtle body is also totally automatic without our conscious endeavors. As Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura and Kapiladeva and theśloka says, bhaktyā pum̐jāta-virāgāya- tadvidyayā cātma-rataye ca puruṣaś carati
It's not that we eat something and then we start thinking, you know, which enzyme I should put in my stomach, you know, it's not that we're consciously doing something. It goes on automatically.
We just eat and everything else is being done itself. now burda, one away why couldn't hero, other than per year and the Namakutaria, in the Hamilatum, other Surapini Podav In
Dispelling doubts through devotional service
In other words, uh our conscious endeavors should go into the process of bhakti, we should try to execute it as properly as possible, and then all these other results will come without any trouble, without any extra endeavor.
And then the next result, very important, is "bhidyate sarva-saṁśayaḥ." All our doubts about the absolute truth are being dispelled.
Literally, "bhidyate" means they are cut to pieces, they're just totally completely smashed, no doubts anymore.
In the Chippy and they end up for them, fine but the party other than Purdue, I'll wait tool to lack a party in the in the look. Yeah.
So uh at this moment of time when our realization is not complete, when we don't see Lord face by face, we have so many doubts in our mind. So many doubts.
Most of the people they even doubtful whether God exists or not, even though it's so obvious that there must be somebody who created this beautiful world, still these people just uh yeah maybe maybe
not You know, m many people they they have this very strange opinion that everything which we see just appeared on itself without any cause for this.
W without any desire or uh or intelligence, it just appeared like this without any problem. There is a little story about uh Newton, this famous physicist in England.
He was he was a religious person, he believed in God, even though he was a scientist, but he had a friend, and his friend was an atheist. And he couldn't understand how this Newton uh you know can really believe in God.
England changed a Vignani, I said Newton a patriarch. So Newton wanted to teach him a lesson and he asked uh he asked somebody or he himself, I don't know he made a model av det solar system.
Ni sun in the centra and then earth och merky och moon and everything. Så he varde väldigt behåd 3D model av det solare system. The real. Små små solare system and put it in his room.
Suriya couldn't worry about Madam Pai Sayyida, And it was made very beautifully, very carefully. So his friend came to visit him and he saw this model.
And he looked at this model and he started looking and looking and he said, Oh, such a beautiful model who did it yarn seedary who made it Say the very and
the Newton said nobody He just appeared here but I haven't told him And the friend said, no, how can it appear it? Tell me, don't joke at me. Who made this? He said, no, nobody made it. It just appeared.
And then Newton said if you sing that you know for For f for this little model somebody has to do it, you know, why you think that for the big universe which you see around you nobody has done it? Why you you have this foolish ide But
still, nevertheless, even though it's so foolish, most of the people they don't believe that there is some creator who created this world. They they just refuse to do it.
They say no, it appeared on its own without any conscious endeavor. But even those people who believe that there is God have so many doubts and misgivings who He is.
They, you know, they say yes, there is some course, uh, but whether this course is conscious or unconscious, whether this course is intelligent or not intelligent, whether this cause is personal or impersonal, and even those who believe that it's personal, they have so many different ideas, whether it's Vishnu or Shiva or Ganesh or Durga and it goes on without end.
But I think the Karana Mirkita and Reach of Kontra and Kuda and the Karana Vona Vulada, Vuna Villa the Uruama Aru So therefore, the first doubt which people have is about the nature of the absolute truth.
And actually, Śrīla Jīva Gosvāmī, while explaining this verse, he says that there are three kinds of doubts which people have.
First kind of doubt whether the absolute truth exists, whether it's there, and uh what kind of absolute truth is you know what is this absolute truth which we are trying to realize.
Yeah, this paramasatyam which we are trying to realize uh first we hear about this and we don't have experience so we have to believe this but while practicing we become completely convinced yes, parama-satyam is a little bluish boy who is running in the meadows of Vṛndāvana and herding cows.
And that's very difficult to understand in the beginning.
And then Śrīla Jīva Gosvāmī says that these doubts about the nature of absolute truths, that this is the absolute truth, that Krishna is the absolute truth are being dispelled just by hearing about Krishna.
Krishna Redan, Parmasatiam, Adava the Paramasati Padrina Mariya.
When we hear again and again from Bhagavad-gītā and Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, ultimately we become convinced, yes, it's Krishna, it's only Krishna, nobody but Krishna. But still, there may be some second kind of doubts.
Second kind of doubts is that you know we we still don't really understand the nature of the Supreme Truth as Krishna and we think yes it's Krishna, we recognize it's Krishna, we chant his holy name, but still the exact nature of Krishna is not clear that he is you know that he is the such a loving person that he is engaged in loving pastimes with his devotees, uh all these ideas may not be very clearly established within our heart.
Krishna Radan Parama Satiya and Vitam. Therefore, the second kind of doubts is the doubts about the exact nature of the supreme absolute truths.
And you know we know that the Supreme Absolute Truth exists, we know it's Vishnu or Krishna, but the exact nature of the Supreme Absolute Truth uh we may not know in the beginning, and that's the second kind of samshaya or doubt.
We may still have some uh understanding which is contrary uh to this personal understanding or to this concept of bhakti yoga, viparita bhavana. So this viparita bhavana is the second kind of doubts.
And Srila Jiva Gaswam again says that this viparita bhavana, the second kind of doubt, is being dispelled while we are thinking very deeply about the subject matter. Not just by hearing, but by sinking, by mananam by the process of manana.
And then there is this third kind of doubts.
We know that there is absolute truth, we know the exact nature of absolute truth. That absolute truth is the supremely attractive person who is engaged in his loving past times with his devotees.
But we still may have the third kind of doubt whether I am capable of realizing this truth, whether I am worthy of entering into the eternal relationship with Krishna.
This is the third kind of doubt about my yogata, my readiness to do it.
Add the Mudalada Paramasatiam and Yrikirda in Sandy, Audit the Paramasatyam, Krishna Daniakuria, Are Patya by Patri, Aurora, and the Parima Tangli Patricia, Sunday, the Giran Sandhanglum team, the Piraku, Mundra Sandehem, Yogiata, and out in the day, anal our day and parima to the Vantana, in it on the Theriva Vikirda, Adayamrima, and the Pondrasan.
And uh this doubt about our yogata is being dispelled only when we see Lord face to face or when we enter into the relationship with the Lord.
So this when Krishna says Chiddyante Sarvasamshaya, he means all these three kinds of doubts are being dispelled by the process of devotional service.
And the word samshaya is very important because there are many different words about doubt.
You know, Sandeha you mentioned this Sandeha in Tamil and also there are some other words for doubt but samshaya is very important
because samshaya means samyakshete it is samshya means that you're completely paralyzed you, cannot really do anything because your mind or your heart is divided into two different thoughts, samshaya.
And you basically become sleep. You you you go into sleep. You cannot act uh very actively if you have doubts. Punughtum, Sunday him in Badda, it were Adamana Purdue.
Why we don't put all our energy in the process of bhakti yoga? Because we have lingering doubts uh within our heart whether I should devote too much time to this or maybe I should do something else and in this way I become happy by doing something else.
Santo Shot can we add number some Tigla celebrate celebrities, some saying to put in the But when all the doubts are completely dispelled, then we don't we don't hesitate of putting all our endeavors and all our energy and all our time into the practice of Bhakti Yoga.
Eradicating karma through loving devotion
Therefore, people who don't have doubts chant not sixteen rounds, not thirty two rounds, not sixty-four rounds, they chant hundred twenty-eight rounds, they chant hundred ninety six rounds, they they chant so many rounds because they don't have doubts that this is the most important thing which I have to do and there is nothing else which is important.
And the the third result, the final result which is being described here is that Kshiyante, Cha Asya, Karmani, all the karma, including the prarabda karma, is being completely washed away from our soul, and in this way we become liberated and as the commentators say, you know, there is absolutely no doubt for a devotee to be liberated. He doesn't have to endeavor for this.
mm he has to endeavor to perform bhakti and then all the problems which are created by our previous karma uh will be solved automatically uh because there will be no karma anymore.
Mulumaya put in the Upur the our two year and Bagan. That's another thing with the Kate with the Mana Tade Milaman Poyra, allow the ink reader for Kuri Lapudi, our either ka ni putam we are saying devi lay or bakter And
Krishna very clearly says here in this in this particular case when you realize in Bhakti Yoga, you will see the Lord and you will see the Lord as Akila Atma, as the Lord in the heart of every living entity.
So not only you will see the Lord, but you will also see that all the living entities are parts and parcels of the Lord.
And then you will have loving relationship with everyone. And in this way you fulfill the mission of your human life. Okay, my time is over.
Uh I don't know if we have time to answer the questions or not, but uh I I could speak more about this verse but uh I think the essence I I have already said. I don't know if I should answer the questions.
Yes, Maharaj, we'll be grateful to you.
Answering questions on spiritual practice
We have got uh some questions uh from the devotees. So we'll be grateful to you. Okay, so there are some questions in the chat.
Um, sometimes may I help you with that, Maharaja? Yeah please please please. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Thank you, Maharaja. The first question is from Manohari Muralidhar Prabhu.
We see that in this one devotees are performing sādhana-bhakti and they do understand that Krishna is Param Satyam. But But not realizing that and not depending on Krishna. Yet they keep uh thinking about the plan, their plans and they worry about that difficult how to understand this. It basically means that uh they only have partial realization of partial understanding.
In the beginning the understanding is mostly theoretical, it's not really realized. It's just uh belief, which is good, uh which is a good starting point.
Um but uh we are in this process so we just have to continue the process. Intellectually we are convinced. But this intellectual conviction is not everything. There is something beyond this intellectual conviction.
Buddhi-pūrvakam, yet continuation, and I'll Buddhi-pūrvaka yārpui and buddha udumayana like it cardandum nam seller. And when we only have intellectual conviction we're still little weak in our process.
The the sadhana is weak. It's weakened from inside. It's weakened uh because of these doubts.
You know, we may not uh even understand consciously these doubts, but these doubts like worms uh from inside, like if we have worms, the worms eat some food which we eat and we don't even notice how they eat the food. But the result is that we become weak.
In the same way there is this worms of doubts inside us and these worms are eating uh something and uh we are not so strong now sudden and we know Porsche to the lake.
Ave Pola Nam Aripurumahila Vitalum Sala Sunday and Namaku Namai Ari to Kundrika anyway, Namal Mulmayana Pine at the lake, number a sagana, Mulmayana
Pine. Therefore, we have this mm-th this very beautiful word buddhi-pūrvakam. We have to have the conscious endeavors to perform our sadhana stronger than.
the beginning we should not count too much on the automatic process. We have to really push ourselves a little bit gently to perform our sadhana in hearing and chanting and remembering the Lord. And then the process will be very quick.
Okay, next question please. Thank you. Thank you so much, Maharaj. Thank you for the clarity. The next question is from His Grace Swarnamadov Prabhu. Here we see that seeing Lord face to face is the success of our bhakti.
Ah Namigan Young Bhagavan is bhakti in Vitriant. Whereas how do we understand with regard to serving the Lord in the mood of separation as the highest uh method as we have been taught by Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu?
How to see this? The meeting and separation they are inseparable from each other. The separation becomes very deep only after meeting.
It is said by Bharata Muni. Bharata Muni says that meeting and separation, they have nourishing each other. The initial mood of separation with the Lord is good, but it becomes really deep.
The separation, the mood of separation becomes really deep only when we momentarily meet with the Lord. Nave-nave-pralayam-prapya-bhogam-sambhogam-ashnute.
So we can see in the stories of Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, like Nārada Muni, Nārada Muni was practicing bhakti and then he saw the Lord. And then the Lord told him, You will not see me anymore.
And that actually strengthened his practice of bhakti and his mood of separation with the Lord became much stronger.
Naṭ-Naṭra-Kūṭan, aur bhagavān ke darśan ke liye pūkarā, anā-pṛchā, bhagavān kāyā, milana-milana, in the proper park, milana, or other say-gathas aur bhi hai.
And we also can see in the life of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu himself, he would have some vision of the Lord and then this vision would disappear and then he would plunge himself into this mood of separation with new vigor.
And he would say, "O my Lord, O the Lord of my heart, where are you now? I've seen you, but you disappeared from me." That's in the Antya-līlā of Caitanya-caritāmṛta.
Caitanya-caritāmṛte kavitā, Antya-līlā mein prakāṭa, Caitanya Mahāprabhu milana, bhagavān ke darśana kiyā, phir, aṭhe, upar se bhagavān ne anubhūti ka karāyā, milana, aur fir uske viyoga kī viyoga-vyathā, upar se aur anubhūti baḍhānā-pīrā.
So you will really realize the mood of separation which was recommended by Chaitanya Mahaprabhu after meeting. Before meeting, your separation will be purely theoretical. you so much Maharaj that was excellent.
Next question is from, I guess, Medhavini Sakhi Mataji. Sometimes uh we feel anxiety even when we perform devotional service,
for example, when we have less time for completing the daily dressing or when some paraphernalia is missing, so particularly during worship, we feel some anxiety. So how do we see this?
Bhakti tuṇḍa se, ye kyā kabaṛa ke āvānama hāy, bhagavān alagāra ke samaya, dera karā ke bahurā, alagāra, alagāra, abhi to śirī ke kāraṇa milati hai, ye tira. There are different kinds of anxieties.
Some anxieties they are uh contaminating they are making our heart more uh dirty and some anxieties are purifying.
The anxieties which are unhealthy, they distract our mind from Krishna and when the anxieties are over we easily distracted from the thoughts of the Lord.
But the anxieties about putting alaṅkāras on the Lord in time and making him look very beautiful. That's a very purifying anxiety. And Al Bhagavana Alangari Padhu Purtu, Abu Sayukuri Vishilundah, Nama Tweakinda.
Because when this anxiety is over, your thoughts about Krishna become much more deep and much more constant than uh than before.
Jayapatākā Mahārāja, he was complaining to Śrīla Prabhupāda. Śrīla Prabhupāda, you know, what happened with my bhajana?
I'm working with all these Indian workers, Bengali workers, and they always trying to cheat and to do something, and that was during Māyāpur's initial stage in Mayapur when the long building was being built.
And he said, how we will perform my bhajana. And Śrīla Prabhupāda said, your bhajana is to build this long building. This is your bhajana.
The Japanese Sunday, Kavari, Rupa Trivi, Nani, Bajani Barnana put twin. The need a cutter they cut to the By dealing with this Bengali workers, you're doing bhajana. This is this is your real bhajana.
And because it's purifying in the long run, ultimately. Sometimes you know to stop the forest fire you do some other fire, you know, and uh m uh by making some fire, you know, you stop the fire.
Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura gives another example. He says that if you have a burn in your finger or whatever if you burn some something, then the Ayurvedic treatment of the burn is to apply something which is hot, not something which is cool, but which something is which is hot.
This is not a talk, but I don't know what it is comes up to it to the endrack, as an eyeway, as a Lindum Bustamano or Kura and the Kodik and Doc Kuri Purley, private lake.
So we destroy this uh habit of uh uh being always in anxiety by uh accepting the anxiety for Krishna and that that that is very purifying. Yes. Thank you so much, Krishna.
At the interest of time we'll just take one final uh question. Yes. And this is from a devotee by name Chembian.
Uh can you please clarify how to distinguish between material and spiritual desires. For example, in our room. Bodhiya batum anniya.
Because at times we see that in office we are executing our job and we have an imagination that uh whatever we are achieving and that uh income which we are getting we are spending for Krishna or a success and office project uh that may please Krishna.
So in that aspect, whether it's uh material desire which is being fulfilled or it's actually a spiritual desire, how to get it distinguished. You cannot distinguish it yourself.
You need somebody who will help you to distinguish this because the self-deception mechanisms uh within our heart are very strong. And this self-deception is being illustrated in the first chapter of Bhagavad-gītā.
Bhagavad Gita Yangadya, in the Tanayamba Tikadakudar and Namkarmala.
Arjuna is completely convinced in the beginning of Bhagavad Gita that you know he is he doesn't have any material desires, so his desires are completely spiritual. And he quotes even shastras, he says, se is ruma.
We have seen, we have heard this. He quotes shastras and this and that to actually to uh convince our himself that uh his desires are spiritual.
And Krishna is standing in front of him and he's smiling. And he says this is all Kashmalam, this is all dirt in your heart. Krishna Guru Arivayana Manivay Ayakatya.
And uh you know, and because Arjuna is somewhat surrendered to Krishna in the beginning, he starts listening and ultimately he understands and then he says nashtamocha you know the all the illusion my illusion has been destroyed now smritir labdva I understood my memory and I know who I am now.
With this and like that, other Kippur, you know, Puri, Nastamoho, other than my cunning, Switzerland, Nan Yar and Rena and Puri the Bundy, and with the Mahapo and the Pesia.
So you need somebody uh else who will tell you whether this material desires or not. Otherwise you will be completely convinced that all your desires are spiritual. How it can be otherwise. So good luck.
