Opening prayers and invocation

Bhagavate vasudevaya, Oṁ namo bhagavate Vāsudevāya. Naramchaiva narotamam devim saraswatiasam, tatogjayamu Diray, Nashtapraja Shwa Badrishū, Nittyam Bhagava Seva Pagatama slow, Bhakti Bhava, Steki.

Yamprajantamanopetama petakrityand dvipayana virahakatara Juhava, Utretitan Mayatay taraobinedus, tamsarbabuta hridayan, munianatos. I'm very happy to be with all of you again.

And I wanted to explain why this particular topic Putanavad was taken for this festival. The theme of this festival convention is compassion. And for an outsider to speak

about killing of a woman on a festival which is dedicated to compassion seems to be a little strange. The Ushapti Namachu Onuka Ushay Ushave Jevishati Alcita Havejan Matazike Hotta Vishwa the Shaq is it all For

outsider these two topics, compassion and killing of a woman doesn't match together. Acjon uh Bahira Lokajanpa Evang Hotha it paraspa bidudhi visha it are uh sampabno but But in reality, this particular pastime is one

of the most vivid uh examples of Krishna's unlimited compassion. Kinto Srimad Bhagavatamer Aja Ankshuti, it is Krishna, Onukampa Pradashunel unnutomati Krishna.

In this pastime, Krishna manifested his compassion to the highest

Experiencing compassion before offering it

possible extent. Of course we know when we speak about compassion we usually mean the compassion of a devotee. Amra Jakun Urukampata Bolathaki, uh Takan Avi Shatiya Matakasa Drishamanhai,

J Bhagavan Urukampadashan Kurban Bhakto the Pruti. And we know that the compassion of a devotee is one of the main characteristics, one of the hallmarks of a devotee. You can recognize real devotee by seeing his compassion.

But one can manifest compassion towards others only if he experienced the compassion towards himself. The action of the short Takhoni Shambhub Jacon Olucampa Ke Onukampa Pra to Witsin Tarpake Shambhub only with the Onucamp.

Yeah, that's right. To give compassion you have to Anukampa Prapta, you have to get the compassion first.

Like it's a known fact that children who never experienced love of his parents and unfortunately there is a lot of such children nowadays especially in the Western world they will never be able to really show love towards others.

John Pastor David Haja, Jiracam Onyx Shantan Ruits, Pitama put a Halobasha Rapto Hana, the She Shantaner Kasteke, Unurakihabe, Halabasha, Raptohotebare, but Urpita In

the same way, the great devotees are capable to manifest the extreme compassion towards others, total self-abnegation, total self-sacrifice for the sake of others, only because they experience the same kind of emotion from Krishna himself.

In fact, compassion is the innermost essence of Krishna's heart. It is said that Krishna has many many shaktis, many, many energies. Anek anek shakti. Krishna anekane shakti voice.

And sometimes these shaktis uh fight with each other. Sometimes these Shakti are uh somewhat contradictory to each other. The Krishna Jay Shakti Ratsay uh Tara Banjamaya Akrashana Juddha Kitha

Parashpa Virudhi Shai Shak And when some contradiction between the Shaktis appear, then what wins over is Krishna's compassion because his Karuna Shakti is his main shakti.

Like for example, uh when Mother Yesoda wanted to bind Krishna during the famous Dhamma Dharlila. Krishna's Svatantrata Shakti, his Shakti of being independent was very prominent in the begin Krishna Jay uhtiparadin

non shay shakti pratamtak But then when

he felt compassion, all other energies, all other characteristics of Krishna had to be overshadowed by this compassion and ultimately compassion won in this contradictory meeting of different energies.

Vyasadev calling Sukadeva Goswami from renunciation

Ulukampa Pradeshanba Ukampa Maija Shaktiti Kriakare Takon Krishna Uno Shap Shokti Takaburaja.

It is said that when Shukadev Gaswami left Vyasadev, when he was just born, Silvyasadev wanted somehow rather to get him back because his main intention of begetting this child was to teach him the highest possible literature, highest the pinnacle of all Vedic literature, Shrimad Bhagavatam.

Biasadev was feeling very frustrated because Sukadev Gaswami left home and he couldn't do this but he devised the tre frustrated but then he devised the trick how to get Vyasadev home. How how to get Sukadev Goswami home.

This in this beautiful verse, the prayer uh the words Sut Goswami says, Yam Pravrajan Tamu Peta Mapeta Kritam Dwaipaya Navirah Katara Djuhav, Potre Titan Mayatayo, Tarabo Binedes, Tam Sarva Bhuta Hridaya Muni Mana Tosmi

Sudha Gaswami says in this prayer, then uh when Sukadev Gaswamy left home, Vyasadev was running behind him and he was saying, Oh my son, oh my son, but he was only hearing the echo eho echo from from the trees putre titan mayatayotaravobine dustam sarva butta khridayamonimana

he sent, he taught his other disciples, Srila Bhyasadev, verses from Srimad Bhagavatam. He told them, when you go to the jungle, to the forest, you should chant this versus from Srimad Bhagavatam.

And they went to the forest and they were picking wood to bring back to do sacrifice and they were chanting different verses for Srimad Bhagavatam.

And when Shukadev Gaswami, who was hiding in the jungle, heard these verses, he felt such an attraction, even though he already achieved the impersonal stage of liberation, still he felt such an attraction that he went running behind his disciples, other disciples of Shilab Yasadev, and they thought this is some ghost is chasing cars.

So they were running back to the ashram of uh Vyasadev and Sukhadev Gaswami like a madman was following them. So even though in this Puranic story from Brahma Vavart Purana, I believe.

It's not specifically mentioned which verses Silabyasadev taught his disciples, but Acharyas they explained that he specifically gave two verses.

Verses taught to attract Sukadeva Goswami

He taught them two verses from Shrimad Bhagavatam.

therefore, Vyasa Dev, he gave the second verse to his disciples. And this is the verse from the third canto of Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam. Sadi, Lebhegatim Datruchitam Tatanyam Kamvadayalum Saranam Rajema.

In this verse Udava while speaking with Vidura he describes the complete limit of Krishna's mercy, Krishna's compassion.

Aho Bhaki Yamstana Kalakutam Jigamsaya Payat Apya Sadhi Oh Bhaki Yamstana Kalakutam this Bhaki this uh vicious sister of Bakasur. And Bakasur is the cheating personified. He is Bacca. He is very krookad.

So this krooked lady witch Baki Aho Baki Yamstana Kalakutam she put jigamsaya paya tabiasadeh she put the kalakut the very acute poison uh in her breast. Jigamsaya payayat. Why Jigamsaya Apaya?

Because she wanted to kill Krishna. Marbajano Tinita Stone Calput Beach Meketilen Evangel Beach Dara Krishka Hatta got the Chesilen. very dirty, she was a very sinful lady.

Kamba Dayalam Saranamra Jema and while crying with tears in his eyes, Uddavah speaks this verse and he says, Where can I find another shelter in this world? Who is more merciful than Krishna?

J J Krishna Onukampa Aprakar the Amihatya Shay Krishna Kha Hariya Ami Krishna Thake Aro Odhi Kurunavhava Onukampa Mai R Kantana Gotha Bari In this world we

can find some people who usually people when you do something bad to them they will do something hundred times more bad to you. Yeah, you do something little bad to them and they will just revenge to you mercilessly.

Apajihoche Karo uh Karapkechu Koran Takon Sheotse uh Dudashadan Bhave Apna Xhugur. If people are fair, you know, you do something bad to them, they will do equally bad to you. This is fair.

This is very, you know, this is very nice. The ages of the age shop. And if people are really saintly, you do something bad to them, they don't do anything to you.

But when do you find somebody, you do something really bad to him and he will do something really good to you?

Krishna accepting good qualities from everyone

The Eratunki Talk Bhavanajarat Apni Tarput Chekharap Kishukurlan, Evan Tini April of Halokisukurvan. Udava says that this is the only one who is worse to take shelter of, and that's Krishna. We can find we can come to Krishna with any motivation, whatever motivation we may

have, we can come to him with this motivation. Krishna, uh Krishna will only take good from us. Krishna Shudmantra, Halutikuran Gurman.

It is said that Krishna is sparsamani touchstone. The Krishna says sparsamani name. You know, if you uh you can touch with sparsamani, you can touch some very nice knife with which you cut the fruits for Krishna.

And this knife will turn into gold. Even after Jedi Hatsekono uh Sudike, Krishna Shabajanava, Krishna Falkara and a Babuhar current, the Shay Suditi had sevama.

But you can touch uh sparsamani with the knife with which you kill and still the same knife will turn into gold. The point is that if you approach Krishna, it's good no matter how you approach Krishna.

I know some stories from Russia, continuing with the topic of yesterday. Tani Rashiata Upakanika Jani Avisha Shanghai Shamporkido.

One lady told me that when her mother became a devotee, she started reading books of Srila Prabhupada just to prove that Krishna does not exist. She collected all the dirty things from the internet about Hare Krishna movement.

And ultimately she decided to read Bhagavad-gītā because Bhagavad-gītā is supposed to be a really cruel book about how to kill his relatives and she would want to prove my mother what do you want you want to kill me por gita potana you have a chat. As

a result, she became a devotee. This is what I mean to say. Kambada Yalam Sharanamra Jama. If you approach Krishna, you will ultimately get benefit by this.

Sometimes we come to Krishna and we we pretend to be devotees by some reason in another, you know, with there is some little pretension in every one of us in everyone's heart. We may not be hundred percent sincere in our heart.

Udvipnoi. But neither was Putana. But neither was Putana. Seta Putana Matananoi. But Putana Shanghata Ma Ambra.

Lord Brahma praising Krishna's ultimate mercy

Ultimately, Krishna only took her affection, nothing else. Even if it was a pretense, even if it was a hypocrisy.

Therefore, in the 14th chapter of the 10th canto of Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, Lord Brahmā says a very beautiful prayer. He says, I am bewildered I I came here in Vrindavan and I see around me and I'm totally bewildered.

Be pronto a girl sing you are embodiment of all the benedictions. You are supposed to give the benedictions, but I cannot figure out what kind of benedictions you will give to this to this inhabitants of Vrindavan.

A Brindavanaj, Othivashikanro, and Bindavan, Poshukaki, Bindavanaj, Shamasta Pani, Tadakatumi, Kiashiva Diatzevatara, Kiyoche Shovakadev.

For the sake of you they gave up everything they're just serving you with such a pure heart. But I don't know what you're going to give to them because you already gave completely

yourself to the relatives of Bakasura Brahmaji Barana Gosh to meet Ki Diachovitama by the Putita Tamar uh Tumidake, Kiyashiva Dietzhu, the Taratomar, Ithornir, Shiva Kara Shudak Batze, Kittu, the Bakashuraja Bodivaranate,

Tadar Puti Canotomarata Coruna. He already rewarded Putana Bakasura Aga Surah. You rewarded them by giving yourself completely to them.

So what is left for the inhabitants of Rindavan who are serving you with such a pure heart? I can't understand. So this is the mercy of Krishna. This is the compassion of Krishna.

I wanted to start our little discussion by describing the five glorious results of hearing Krishna Katha. This five amazing glorious results coming step by step step, crown by Crown gradually to anyone

who hears Krishna Katha, especially the stories about Krishna's childhood pastimes in Vrindavan, to anyone who hears about

this uh Lilas the Krishna Ballo Lila Ravse the Shay Lila Kyjiditharabhikov Shravan Kurtathaken uh tahole tarpti The verse which I will read now is spoken by Maharaja Parikshet and

this is the reaction of Maharaja Parikshet after hearing

this story of Putin Avadja Slopti Adhayan Kurva Eti Maharas Parikidik Maharas Purikideshlopti Bolachan Evan Tar Bala Karanti Hatse the Tini Putanabath Shrovan Kurar Pore Taj Ovi Vekti Shay Ovi Vekti Shrupay Slokti.

In sixth chapter of the tenth canto, Śrīla Śukadeva Gosvāmī describing killing of Putana. And in this in the seventh chapter, Maharaja Pariksit uh speaks this verse.

This is the second verse of the seventh uh chapter of the tenth canto. The second? Second verse of the seventh chapter of the tenth canto. Tenth seventh two. It's one and two together.

So in the first and the second verse, uh Sila Sukadeh uh Sila Maharaj Parikshit uh he says that you know, you talked about other incarnations of Krishna, about different incarnations of Lord Vishnu, and they're all nice.

I could hear them with great interest. The A Vish Maras Purikit Valsilanje Abdijv Hagavane Vivina Botashambakura, the Shety Amashuntakalegacy.

But he says when I hear about Krishna's childhood pastimes like killing Putana, something really special takes place in my heart.

He wants to encourage Shukadev Gaswami to speak more and more about this because you know sometimes when we speak and when And when we see that the audience is very enthusiastic and they want to hear and they write something in their notebooks and they have bright faces and they're smiling.

This is very encouraging. We want to to tell more Uh

Shrovan Korsen and Notebook and Lichen, Tara Shrovan Kurajano, Kuk Abro, Tather Muchumandalse, Tarkushai Shroidse, Shrovan Kurchan, Takon Jini, Bolchen, Tarbolar Agro Shot I I

told Mother Devaki uh this morning that in my opinion this Bangladeshi devotees is the most grateful audience Yesterday I was speaking s you know Why are you not translating properly? Anyway so he was uh yeah

I I don't know Bangla so I can I can say It's a good person for us. Next time when I come I will only already know some Bangladesh so I will be able to take bo And

anyway, even though it was not a very nice thing, he was saying, you know, just to encourage me, please continue, continue, continue. But I thought because the topic of this festival is compassion, I cannot continue.

It's it would be not so compassion if I would do it. Anyway, so here uh sila uhiksit he is um encouraging uh sila sukkadev Gaswami and he speaks this very beautiful

verse and he says, I feel in my heart, and this is his experience, I feel in my heart five wonderful results of this Krishna Katha. Krishna Katha Shravanir Falei uh Japasti J Mahot Fal Lakarajai Shavish Bharana.

Yachrinvato Paitaratirvi Krishna satvamcha shudddya ta chirena pumsah bhaktir harow tat purushecha sakyam tat evaharam vada manya sechet.

It's a very very beautiful verse, and I would like to explain to you the meaning of this verse so that you can take it very deep in the heart and really appreciate Krishna Katha and uh continue listening to Krishna Katha again and again and again to get these results also.

Overcoming indifference toward hearing about Krishna

Evan Kihave, Krishna Katha Shravane Dhara, Abni eight Pastifa Lap Kurta Parban, Shiti Govivhavya Pad Ridhaya Ubhapkurvan, Ebang Shati Kay, Abni Unubapure, E Krishna Katha Shravan He

says that the first Yach Srinvato Yach Srinvataha when you hear this, this means uh the childhood of Rindavan past times of Krishna. Ya Chrinvatao, whoever hears this very beautiful past times of Krishna,

then the first result When you hear this I I already told. He says that the first result is your arati. Arati means indifference. Your disinterest towards Krishna's pastimes. Apaiti goes away.

You know, we know that in the beginning we don't really have such a great interest towards Krishna. We are little apathetic, little indifferent. We don't have interest uh about Krishna. It's called a Rati.

Arati means the absence of rati, the absence of real attachment to The AJ Vishwai say Vishambart Krishna Kathak Bakrishnar Vishwai uh Shovon Putya Dhoti Takana Ba Krishna Katha Shovon Puthiam Takana.

So he says that the first which you will feel that if you really hear this past times and you really deeply immersed in this past times, you will feel that rati, uh the attachment towards this past times will appear in your heart and you will want to hear more and more and more.

National Putis by National Manuhapti Shetty Bidurithovejave Shovan Korputhi Apran Agroti Pramobarthuman Habe.

Jivagaswami again in Bhakti Sandarbha says a very interesting he he puts the same kind of effect or result of hearing Krishna Katha in a very beautiful way. Please listen very carefully.

He says, Tatat Paramparakata Ruchadina. He says if we receive this Katha through Parampara, through the bona fide chain of discipline succession, then ruchadina, first rucha appears in the heart.

Some kind of interest, some kind of respect towards this katha. Sutta Gaswami says the same thing, Sushrashok Sadhana Syavasudeva Katharuchik Syan Mahatsevipro Punya Tirtanishevanan.

You know if you hear a devotee then immediately Vasudeva-katha-ruci. Suta Goswami says that immediately when we hear a pure devotee, some ruchi, but Vasudeva-katha-ruci Hapirs and the U.S.

We feel something very attractive about this and we want to hear again and again and again. Like so many times we heard Krishna Katha.

So many times we heard Ramayana and we know this story and still again when we hear Ramayana our heart becomes melted. And avar jakuni hutze, Krishna-katha-vara mainer kathara shrevan guri, the shoti Chenha.

And when we hear beautiful Gaurkatha, Gauranga Katha, then the heart becomes joyful. So many times we hear it again and again and again and still it's uh feels as if we're hearing it for the first time.

Like yesterday I was talking about this pastimes of Lord Nityananda. And I was speaking on this topic many, many times. But when I was talking, it was interesting for myself, such a interesting pastime

there, Tamayakonoche Lila Barana Kotchilam, Tonamarkupa, Ananda Lakchilo de Ato Shunda, Lila Hagavaner, Tamashe Lila Marka Kup Akushan Kotchilo.

So he says that the first immediate thing which I can hear which I can feel in the heart is this arati, is this apathy, uh, is this uh indifference towards Krishna Katha goes away, apahiti. But Therefore,

Shila Prabhupada says that every day we have to hear It's actually the diseased condition of our heart because we have disease, we don't have interest for Krishna and the cure from this disease is to care about Krishna.

Ending material thirst for worldly topics

Amadir Ridhaitiatse Ridai Oshukroce. Harate Hai, Shetty Amar Chestadami Kote Barbana, Krishna Kata Shrovanada, Krishna A Ridai K a Aruchi Avostatek And then he says the second result, Vitrishna Apaiti.

Another thing is going away from our heart, Vitrishna. Vidrishna means the unsatiable source towards the material subject matters.

People they want to hear this grammy katha, all these topics again and again again as if there is some some taste in these topics.

It's amazing, you know, when you offer people to hear something about Krishna, they say have no time.

But they have all the time when it comes to see TV, to watch TV. They have all the time when it comes to see some news on the internet. I came to Dhaka Airport. I mean what is along? And there was a TV there, big TV.

And then this TV they were showing some reportage, some some news report from Sochi from Russia from Olympic Games.

And I was thinking, you know, this is some, you know, the people are skying and you know there's y you know, all these things y you probably never seen snow in your life except for the ice cream or something like this, you know, and and still because they saw it on TV so many people watch there. You know, it's so interesting what's going on there in Sochi.

Uh ice cream kid ice cream uh dar take the logulo shadow command says all in pickets the cover that says ice cream covered akuti take So

what Sukadev Gaswami says that now in our heart there is this Vitrishna, this very very strong source we want to hear, we want to know what's going on, what's going on in this world. What Barack Obama does in America.

It's very interesting, right? It has nothing to do with us, you know. Let Barack Abama goes to heaven. But you know what does it have to do with us? Still, we have interest. Vaitṛṣṇā now, we want to hear about this.

And there is a very serious deep reason why we want to hear about Barack Obama. You wouldn't mind, right? Okay, you have my blessings, no problem.

Basically it means that you still want to play some role here in this material and it means that you will be born again to play some other role in this material world.

Actually this Vaitṛṣṇā, this this uh thirst within our heart is because we feel unfulfilled.

We feel uh within our heart that something which I wanted to do didn't happen with me, didn't uh somehow or other didn't happen with me.

It means that I didn't finish my business here and it basically means Punarjanma. I will be born again.

And therefore Maharaja Pariksit says that this Vaitṛṣṇā, when you hear about Krishna, this Vaitṛṣṇā goes away from your heart. You don't want to hear about the news of this world anymore.

Krishna Katha Śravaṇa Kori, Tāhālei Āmār Hṛdaṭāke Ā Vaitṛṣṇā, Bā Jagat-ter Kabur Dāna Paḍiyama Agroho, Sei Agrohoti Vidūritoṁ, Arthakbana.

You only want to hear about the news Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura Prabhupāda. He wanted to and he actually published the newspaper with the news from the spiritual world. It was called Nadia Dainik.

It was everyday news from Nadiā from spiritual world. Even uh say a potrikā and Nām Śrīla say Nodiya Prakash, they want a doinik potrikā silo. Yeah, so and then he says that the the second result, okay?

First result arati goes away, the indifference goes away, second result, Vaitṛṣṇā, the source for material dirty things.

Purification of mind through hearing pastimes

Like Prabhupāda he explains the source for dirty things, desire to have stay dirty things from this world goes away. And the third result is sattvam viśuddham.

Uh Kivāi Hocche Puṭum Jārti e Kṛṣṇa Kathā Śobana put his other Ruchi Thākane, Śei Aruci Chulagi, Āmrā Ruchi Manahavan, Amōng Dithya Viśilā, Jamad, Vaitṛṣṇā Ṛta Viḍhāvāy Sattvaṁ ca śuddhyati, this is the third result.

Your sattva, your mind becomes very pure. Uh Pūriśuddha Vajavit. Sattva means sattva-guṇa, but in this particular case sattva means mind. Sattva in Sanskrit means mind because by nature the mind has sättvik nature.

Sāttvik by nature is mind is nature is sättvik by nature. Because of hearing Krishna Kathāt, the mind comes back to its original state of Śuddha Sattva. When the mind is very pure, in the mind there is only very pure desires, the very pure feelings, very pure emotions, love is there, joy is there, all this pure condition comes back to the mind.

I promised yesterday to Mother Devaki that I will continue a little bit with yesterday's useless katha and this is a good time to continue with it, I can say, but they got a chhelem'r kichhu...

When you know, I yesterday I told like KGB came to me and they kicked me out and they stopped my PhD degree, and I was more or less basically finished. My career was finished. They did what they promised. They didn't put me in prison, but they did a lot of bad things to me.

Ama-ke tārā kālbal śram jāri karechhe, āmārke P.H.D. degree ban karechhe, ebong āmāke jela-bhranga karechhe, ebong āmāke nektāchhechhe. Āphter bāstā mārechhe, pāhārchhe and

I came back to my home and my relatives were totally completely in anxiety and they were so morossed and they were, you know, I had my father was a professor, my grandfather was a professor and they were also complaining what happened with you when you will get your PhD degree.

Tītā ājūn professor chhilen, āmār propitāmāho-o jena professor chhilen. Tātārāho-cchub udbigna gachhe na nirgatarā, āmār kī habe?

Śeś biśta ghoś. And but the most surprising things for every one of them was that I was totally happy. I was completely happy. I was just smiling and I was just, you know, I was changing, I was so happy.

And they couldn't understand what's wrong with you. They were saying you know you should be very sad. Why you're so happy, you know. And I said to them, I don't know, I'm just happy, what can I do?

I told him leave me alone, I'm happy I can take the down, I'm in khushi so what this is the illustration of this sattvaṁ ca śuddhaya when the mind becomes little pure you become happy.

Mana pariśuddha habe, takhun apni āstā buni tote śuddha paban. So this is the sad result.

Awakening pure devotional love for Lord Hari

You know I'm I'm going back to Krishna Katha away from my Kathayami but the sea there are still two very important most important results which gradually will come if we hear about Krishna.

He says that the fourth result is bhaktir harow.

Gradually, gradually, gradually, āsakti, rati and then ultimately prema-bhaktir harau just by hearing krishna katha you will get bhakti you will get prema towards hari. Krishna-kathā-śravaṇe... ...vina kṛṣṇeṭā-e-o. And

that's the only way, this is the only way to obtain love of Krishna, is just to hear about Krishna again and again and again.

Example in Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam itself about how you can obtain love of Krishna without seeing Krishna.

Sometimes people ask this question how can I love God if I didn't see Him? Our answer is that you don't have to see him, you have to hear about him.

So in in Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam in the tenth canto there is this prama patra, the love letter of Rukmini Devi. And she has never seen Krishna. She didn't even see his photograph. There was no internet broadcast from Dvaraka,

internet was not there, Krishna katha was there. She only heard about Krishna. And then the very first verse she writes to Krishna.

Śṛṇvatāṁ sva-kathāḥ kṛṣṇaḥ puṇya-śravaṇa-kīrtanaḥ, hṛdy antaḥ-stho hy abhadrāṇi vidhunoti suhṛt satām. And she said that I'm so much in love with you that I completely relinquished

And she said that I'm so much in love with you that I completely relinquished my lodja, my trapa, my shyness. And you are Bhana Sundara, you are the most beautiful man in this whole creation.

You know, she said of course this is a fault on my site. You know, a chase lady is not supposed to write a love letter to somebody who she has never even seen.

But she said this is not only my fault, this is your fault also. She said it's not my fault only, it's also your fault why I am in love with you.

Is that she says my fault is that I heard about you and your fault is that you're so good. Well, se amari trutī nā se ami tomar bisay śuṇiāchi te tomari truti biśeṣ chilo.

Anyway, so uh Maharaja Parikshit he says that when you hear about Krishna

Growth of friendship among Krishna's devotees

bhakta... you you you develop love for Krishna. But then he gives the most glorious result, the last result, the crown of all results is the most glorious and the fifth result.

He says that the most glorious result of hearing Kṛṣṇa-kathā is tat-puruṣāṣa-sakhyam. He says that the most glorious result is that you feel closeness to the devotees. You feel friendship with the devotees.

All the envy which is there in the heart goes away. Envy, envy which is there in the heart goes away. Sometimes in the beginning we are little envious to other devotees.

We think you know he's so close to Guru Maharaj, why I am not so close, let me do something to him and I'll be closer to my Guru Maharaj. Oh, we look and somebody and you know somebody gets more paneer in their plate.

And then we think why did he get more Panir than myself? You know, I deserve more. Yeah, this irsha prakasity hoy. So what can we do? It's prakash, you know. It's there in our heart.

Timing and astrology of the pastime

You know, we may feel some not nice feelings towards others. But when the heart becomes completely pure due to hearing Krishna Katha we only feel love and affection and friendship with the devotees. So these are the five glorious results of hearing Krishna Katha, and this is the five manifestations of purifying our heart. The eighty had said uh Krishna Katha Shravonir uh Pasti Mahamullah and Fall Evan Jedi Amar Krishna Katha Shravonir Kraman Mutrid Hara Prahtahago.

And uh uh I have a few minutes more before we have to end this katha, so I will start Katha itself. Tami hatse, Arubaikmate Baki Hatse, uh Tami um Shaaka minute our katasali.

This katha putanavat katha happened on the sixth day of Krishna's life. The A Putana Jibhag Lila Shati Krishna Yakun Ajate, Tar Sharukke Brakashkolan, Tar Shastadina Shanghai the Horsakam Krishna

Bash Matto Sma Din it was Chaturdash because Krishna was born on Ashtami, so it was Chaturdashity... And Chaturda Shit is very inauspicious titi.

Are a Chotud Dashititi had said an ek uh uhti Amang Among Tati. Today is Chaturda Shitity.

But because we're hearing about Krishna, it's all auspicious. And it's especially aspicious because we're hearing about something which happens on Chaturda Shithi with Krishna.

Evan uh Arahotsimangai Karani, the uh Jay Lila Damra Shovan court in a chotashithi shangotida chill, the choturda shitin, choturda shit the shangoti the Krishna Lila Shov And it's also Ashlesha Nakshatra.

Krishna was born under Rahini star, under Rahini Nakshatra. So the sixth nakshatra from Rahini is a slasher. The Krishna says, And a slash means poison. Even uh say uh beast moy.

Vasudev messaging Nanda Maharaja in Vrindavan

Even when Krishna comes, everything goes according to astrological laws in his life also. Anyway, so that's. Before a messenger came to Vrindavan from Madhura from Vasudev to Nandamaraj.

Please imagine we have to really go to Vrindavan five thousand years back. Vasudev after so many years of waiting for this child after his six children killed by Kamsa.

After the seventh child would be removed to Vrindavan, finally he got little baby Krishna.

And of course he was not a little baby, he came in his forearm form, you know, fully dressed with kostubomani with all the abharan with crown and everything like God himself appeared from the womb of Madadevachi. But because Vasudev and Devaki were so overwhelmed with parental love when they saw Krishna, they prayed to him in a very strange way.

Devaki prayed to this Krishna, she's seeing God with four arms, with all his glories, and she said, Oh please hide this form, it's very dangerous to be as you are. What if Kamsa see you in this form, he will definitely know that you are God and he will definitely kill you.

So please uh become a little baby again. So we'll say hey Bakaman, to me, I'll tell you the contrast. Logically, this prayer doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

But they have so much love towards Krishna that they are afraid of him. You know, they don't want to be protected themselves.

So Vasudev takes this little baby Krishna, he puts his uh him on his lap and he puts him to his chest and he brings him to Vrindavan.

And he takes little girl of Nanda Maharaja and brings little girl of Nanda Maharaj back to Madhura.

And he's totally completely immersed, and you know, this six days after uh after Krishna's birth, he was always thinking, what happened with my son what happened with my son what happened with my son even uh say uh we put the heart what about this Hadin Tini Shudamatra eighteen thin masilan Krishna Ki Hotse, Yamar Krishna Ki courts and Krishna Krishna can eat the Tinta Gordon Dharabai Phava Sodin.

And Mother Devaki, she is crying day night, day night, day night, Krishna, Krishna, Krishna, where are you my son? And then Vasudev, he gets an idea he thinks you know now it's time to pay taxes I will definitely send

and I will meet Nanda Maharaja in Mathura from Takuna say Um Bafathin Takulan Jayakonta Shumah Shagatsa, Tiniahatse Dutke Patalan, Jay Anandamaharajas, Jordita Javan, the cardita jar janatini

Tati Hotilamarutu um Nanda Maharaja Motura Ashba and Hot Che Cord the Arjuno are uh Takanache Boshud Take Chitilika Chil and Jetumi Kapan Kordita Arjue, even to Basudav's heart is there in Brindavan.

He wants to go there, he wants to see his son, he wants to make sure that everything is okay. He wants to give some money to Nanda Maharaj to make sure that his son is uh is okay and he has everything which is needed.

But he cannot go to Vrindavan. The Dakonace Boshudevak, Sebrindavanajan Shambhav

Chilona, Tini Shashma Krishna Chintai before chillen, Tini Havchilen, Jetini Kichu, Orthodi Devan, uh Nanda Maharaske, Jada Krishna Kev Halakore, uh Shura Kakaraja, Bakrka Halakh Shiva Karajai, the Mang Shay Chintany, Jilatapakatakun uh Shaymo uh Brindavan Yashamhov Chirona. He's very much afraid that if he goes there, you know, he he knows that Kamsa he has spies everywhere.

And you know, if he goes there in definitely Vasudev was released from prison, but he was under uh complete uh surveillance of uh Kamsas KGB was

it Takman Jadio Boshu de Votte Karamukto Chilen, a kid the Karamuta Thakleo, the Kong Shed J Onuch that Dara, Tinish of Shuma Shruk Kitahaken, Trichinta Coach and Navigathi Brindavana Jai, Talato Davis said: that don't worry, Kamsa. Your mörder. The same who will kill you has already gorn somebs.

Jeta Jatta Gari Batakajini Hatta Kordan Tri Iti Modinatse Ajagota Avivhutovatsan, Jeti Shaikanajakon, Akash Marge, Chulajatsilan, Takantini But he still wants to know the news about his son.

He is a devotee and he wants to know what happened with Krishna. Therefore he writes to Nanda Maharaj, please come to Madhur and pay tax to Kri uh to Kamsa and we will meet in Madhura.

Nanda Maharaja seeking baby Krishna's permission

Among Shekarme, Tini Hotse uh Nanda Maharaske Chitileglen, J Tumi Asha Hot Sevindavane, uh Tumi Maturayasha, Kong Shoke, Karpudan Kado, Evan Amituashame Dehakotajai, Evan Tini And

Nanda Maraj he thinks at that time when he received this letter from Vasudev, Nanda Maharaj thinks he thinks it's a good idea, it's a very good idea to go to Kamsa now. Why? Karunkan? Kikarunan?

Just imagine, you know, Krishna was born in your house. You were waiting for Krishna for so long. Ultimately, this most beautiful child in the creation appeared in your house.

He is only six days old, and Vasudev goes away from his house to Kamsa. Why? Shantan, Humistrahuatsen, Mathu Sadi Hurts of Humister Hatsan, but canotini Shay Shantan K reke Shay Kong Share Khatshula Jatsan Arontakin.

Only because of one reason. Because he wants to protect his child. He thinks you know if I pay the taxes and I will bring more taxes and more jewels and more milk and more gear to Kamsa.

Kamsa will be pleased with me and he will somehow rather forget about me and he will not bother Please listen very carefully because it's a very important point.

You know, Nanda Maraj is a very cultured man and in this tense canto there is a lot about Vedic culture.

So Nandamaraj knows that you know if I want to be happy, if I want to continue to be happy, I I have to pay. I have to I I I have to pay my debts. If I want to be happy, I have to pay.

You know, happiness doesn't come without paying for it. People of eddy culture they know this art. They're paying to demigods, they're paying to ṛṣis, they're paying to everyone so that they could be happy.

The modern people they think the less I pay the happier I am because I more have for myself. Kito a Adhunik Jagoteh, Adhunik lokai J Amijadi Hat se uhbe But they do not know the subtle laws of material nature.

If we want to be happy, we have to pay to others. We have to be free from all our debts.

It's very short-sighted if we don't want to pay, don't want to pay taxes, don't want to pay anything anything, we want to keep everything for ourselves.

So when he received this letter, and this is very last thing which I will tell. When he received this letter, he thought it's a very good idea. I will go to Kaṁsa, I will pay tax to him.

Before going to Kaṁsa, before leaving, he comes to his little child. And he comes to his little baby child, little little Krishna,

and he folds his hands and he says, My little Krishna, can I go? Can you give me permission? The Takan Kate J uh Nandamaras Hablan, it's

a carputancotte Matra Jabu, Kitinja Purbei, uh Tinita Shay Chotra Krishna Katsagalen, Sevan Gay, Jurhatt Korean So

he took the little child, he he embraced the little child, he kissed his head, he sniffed his head and uh he looked at him so intensely with so much love.

Uh Tinihatse are Mastok Chumukalan, Tinihatsa Mastok Aghankolan, Amang uh Tini Prakashkurta Jailan, Jekrishnar Buddhitar Govil Halovasharovitse.

And then the nurse which was sitting there just in a joke she said addressing to Krishna nurse nurse who was addressing Pasaj Krishna Shavikahishava chilem uh tinihat se kits bolsilan She

says, Oh dear dark child, your father has come and he's asking your permission if he can go to see the king. Takan Balsay, hey Krishna, Tamat Pitana Chatamakatsa Onumut Chaitse, Radhaka Dektayajan.

Please give him permission. She is just joking. And it is said Śrīla Jīva Gosvāmī writes, Śrīla Jīva Gosvāmī writes about this, but amazing Krishna, when he heard these words, he smiled and he said, yes.

Krishna says you can go and we will have nice pastime with Putana without you. Okay, thank you very much for now. Hare Krishna. Śrīla Bhakti Vikāsa Svāmī Mahārāja Śrīla Prabhupāda Ki. vaiṣṇava Good pramarand.
