Expression of gratitude to Bangladesh devotees
J Sri Krishna Chaitana Prabhunitananda Sri Adwai Tagadhathara Srivassani Gora Bhakta Vrinda Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare I am very grateful to all of you for allowing me to come here.
Tamiya Padeh Sabaputikitagu Ekarani, Japara Shavay Khanesha Chen, Evanapadehango Amelakput.
As I said in the beginning when I came to Bangladesh, I came here not to preach, I came here to get Get some inspiration from all of you.
Prami Bhagavad Shapatam Bharamadeshachi, Ameikana Prachar Kajya Shampadan Kara Nashini. Amar Uddesha Raj, Japnadesh uh Kuruna Prathahwa. Amar Udesh Udesya was to get some blessings upon my head.
And I feel very much blessed by your association. Ami Timadhi Apare uh Shanghai Pale uhta Hurchi Vale Uruhab Goshi. And if you bless me even more, I will try to say something more about this verse.
So in this beautiful verse, which was one of the most favorite verses of Sila Prabhupada, Prahlad Maharaj speaks from his heart about the compassion which he feels very strongly.
The AJ Slokti Rachi is Slakti Slaprahupaday Roti Bhapyo Slovak, Shlah Sulla Lad Maharajes Pratana, Vapra Maharajes Onukampa, Onujipde Puti, Shay Onukampa Vidhashanati Evan He says,
let other saintly people go to Himales and meditate in the caves of Himales. Let them keep the vow of Mauna and be totally silent. Let them do yoga exercise and breathing exercise and do whatever they like.
And he says prayana, uh almost all of them doing like this, almost all of the saintly persons, they think that spiritual life means I have to be alone.
But he says actually this is a mistake because Naparartanishta, all these people, they don't have feeling towards others. Their heart is still very hard. Their heart is still like stone.
They only want uh liberated themselves for their own interest. They're not interested in the interest of others. Niger Unnutil Prozessha Vesto Traporato Nishata Neiba Apered Unnoti Kara Bashana Tadine.
And it basically means that their heart is still not transformed by the real spiritual life at Tamanahatse, Eishamas Bhakti De Ridai Jatata Athatikata Unnato Hawani Uno Jibder Buti It basically means that they're still in ignorance about their spiritual nature.
And they are doing all these so-called spiritual activities, but uh in reality they don't understand the essence of what spirituality means.
It basically says this point that they don't understand anything because if they would understand something they would feel uh compassion towards
others. Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura in his Jaivadharma makes this point very clearly in a very very beautiful way. No, no, sparsy. Very clearly.
Essential unity of devotion humility and compassion
Yes. So he says that you know he he is explaining that compassion and humility is not something separate from bhakti. Compassion and humility. Daya and doinya is not something separate from bhakti.
The Onukampa Evang uh Doinota Shiti uh Bhakti Kakhoni Sh Aladamaya ba bhoktika Alada Vajaina it's integral part of bhakti when bhakti is there then daya and dwinya are also there bhokti meshave doya evang
dhina tahbikhava tartak prakashita Śrīla Prabhupāda basically makes the same point in the purport.
He says that Prahlad Maharaj because he has bhakti, he doesn't want to be liberated himself because he knows that nobody can be happy without Krishna.
And Prabhupada says that all the members of Krishna consciousness movement have to be hundred percent convinced that nobody can be happy without Krishna. Nobody in this world can be happy without Krishna.
Krishna Gabi Kevin Shukihote Varana Evang Krishna Gabhde Kana Kisham of Noi. He says the same thing.
If you have feeling some love for Krishna, even little love for Krishna, you will definitely have feeling of dia towards living entities. Uh gotebari tahale Kushawa Vataya Madh Rida Dhyava Unukampa Prakashi Dhahavai.
And at the same time, if you have some love for Krishna, you will also have the feeling that I am Krishna's servant. I am very little part of him and therefore dying of humility namrata will come to your heart say pragita
bakedutin Halavasha, Ituhalo, Prakashabe, Tapuna Nuha Put the Parvaj and Krishna Kudana Kutra Anshaw, Krishna Puti Amar Ajay, Amar Avostan Tjayami Utant He says that bhakti means bow, means feeling within the heart.
And this feeling, I am servant of Krishna simultaneously, the same bow, the same feeling simultaneously means I am very small and simultaneously means all other living entities are parts and parcels of the Lord and I therefore I have to uh be compassionate towards them.
They cannot be happy without understanding that they are servants of the Lord as well.
If Hapti Jaguar Ritae on the Jagurita Habe, Takune, Amra, Oluha Kutte Parvo, the Prakita Bakke, I mean Krishna Kudra Kutra Anshow, I'm a Krishatanda Naganong show, Evan Krashair Puti Shiva Parana Kartabu, Evan Orno Jiveda, Krishna Khita Kakano Shukihotarana, Evan Krishna Tatakashukta Bare, abong Shayana Kishamaika Praisan.
And then he says very beautifully, very very beautifully, he says when Daya and Doinya come together, they create kshama within the heart of living entity, forgiveness within the heart of the living entity.
Takhone in the last side. They create ksamah, forgiveness in the heart of living entity.
If you feel very small and at the same time if you feel that all other living entities are also parts and parcels of the Lord, you will not feel bitter or bad about them. You will feel very forgiving about them as well.
So Jakuna Uno Jeep Jeev Bhagavan Kudra Kudra Angshow, Bhagavan Kudradi Kudra Angsho, a Uglovdi Janra to Habe, Takon Ami I will ask my translator to read the original quote from Bhaktivinoda Thakur from Jaivadharma which explains this.
So please listen very carefully. It's a very beautiful point.
This is the Krishna, Jai Buddha Grand Tang. But said Bhokti Niropekha and Bhokti Nijay Shandorjo or Alankar Unokuno Shadgun Kathini Apekakarana Dhoino Odaya Eduti Prithagunoy Bhakti Anturgathu Ami Krishna Dash Akinchon Amarkish Vinai Krishna Yama Sharvasho Eastala Jaha Bhakti Taha Duino Shri Krishna Bhutti Atravti Uno jeep Krishna Dash Tadirputi Atrav Dhaya Patay Dwayne Krishna Pukti ontorgatu Dya or Dhoin Antho Muttohai, Takhone Kama Ashya Gusti Hai Kamau Bhakti Rantar Gatto Krishna Shapto Jee Shapto Jibir Krishna Dashashatto Jalabat Jiber Pantunivash Yihashakto Patayat Bhukti Shakto Jehu Eishamandu Havihti Shapto Dhoino Dwaya Ukhama each bhakti antargata dhab bises bhakti antagata dhavises amar kitchenai.

Preaching driven by genuine love for others
And that's that's why Śrīla Prabhupada makes this point that compassion is not separate from bhakti.
And we can see that all the great acharyas, all the people, all really saintly people who have real bhakti in the heart, they cannot help but preach. They're only preaching they are very compassionate.
Tamra Jadihat Shearja Bhagavad Kedarshan Kori Evan Jathato Sadhuvekti Kedarshan Kori Tara Dhita Babo Jara Sharbada Put They are very happy themselves. Prabhupada said that I was very happy in Vrindavan.
But then he said, no, I couldn't happy in Vrindavan because I feel that all other living entities are suffering in the rest of the world. In the same way, Prahlad Maharaj says, I am very happy myself.
He says, as soon as I start chanting your glories, my whole mind, my whole chitta, my whole consciousness becomes completely immersed in this chanting and in this beautiful bliss of glorifying you.
Jakonayami Tamar Mahima, Kriptankotashrukori, Takonayama Ridai, Shay uh Shai uh Udbelita Hai Evan Tama Shabatuhavashukikori.
But how I can really feel blissful without you know saving these fools and rascals who are suffering in this material world. Therefore, Prabhupada left Vrindavan in the age of 70. He left Vrindavan and went to New York.
And in New York, he started preaching.
And then after few years preaching all over the world, he said something very interesting about his life in Vrindavan. Sometimes even devotees, even the followers of Srila Prabhupada, they want to go to Vrindavan to do bhajan or they want to go to Navadvi or they want to go to Jagannath Puri to do bhajan.
Ultimately they don't want to do bhajan, they want to enjoy in a nice place with nice sun and weather. They want to go to Rindon because the weather is much better there.
Ashle Shayasam Uttanta Monodam Shekankar Ji Avustiti, Shitianek Unato Vidhai, Tara Shekhana Avostan Kare, Amyanak Rashi and Bhakta Kajani, Jarahutse, Isha Mastan Shamay Vashkare Karane But
Prabhupada, who was really happy in Vrindavan doing his real bhajan, chanting the holy name and thinking about the Lord twenty-four hours a day.
When he went to New York, he said something very interesting about his life in Vrindavan.
The Jacobanot said Shlaprahab, Brindavana, Avastan Kurten, Takan Shlaprava Shotti Shoti, Jashard Hagan Kurten, think your beach hunt of Hagavan and Mam, Jab Kitan and Nimabnoth,
He said I wasted so much my time in Vrindavan. What is the use? I should have preached in New York more. That means Bhakti.
Importance of constant discourse on Krishna
That means real bhakti, not just show of bhakti.
Like Śrīla Prabhupāda also says in the purport that devotees of Krishna consciousness movement they are not interested in this show bottle bhakti, in this so-called devotional serv or in so-called devotional service or so-called spiritual life.
Hakta there, Modhi A Pramanata Thakbena, Jitara, Nizidek Prakashkota Jaibe, Tara Nizidir Bhakti Bhaptiki Prakash Kurve, Krishna Mahmannamita Shanghai Patakish other Shellesha They
are not interested in this so-called Maunavrata, you know, I'm Moni, I'm Moni Baba. You know, they will just speak and speak and speak twenty-four hours a day about Krishna.
But I would say Boltachan, Boltachan, Chobish Hun You You know, once Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura Prabhupāda he became very sick towards the end of his life.
And he had some troubles, he had some disease and devotees called some doctor to see him. And Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura Prabhupāda, you know he he gave his pulse and whatever, and he felt his heart.
This doctor he diagnosed him. The doctor said, Swamiji, you have to stop talking. Takan Dr. Aishar, Ridhay Buddhika Gullen, Nadi Dheklin, Shapisudakhad Bade,
Shay Doctor, Bhakti Dhanta Sashta Prabhupada Bulan, Shamiji, Apakhawala Vandha Gutta It's very dangerous in your condition. If you continue talking and talking and talking, you will die very soon.
So Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura Prabhupāda when he heard this he said better I die than stop talking about Kṛṣṇa! is the use of life if I stop talking about Krishna?
So he sat down this doctor and he was speaking with this doctor to this doctor for four hours straight about Krishna. What is the use of leaving if we cannot speak about Krishna? What is the use of this monavrata?
Whatever it gives to your heart if you cannot speak about Krishna. The Krishna Gata a Navali. What is this saying?
Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura, he used to say prāṇa-āche yāra, prāṇa-āche yāra, sei tāhā pracāra. Sei tāhā pracāra. Sei tāhā pracāra. So Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī said, if you have life, you have to preach.
There is there is only one reason to preach: if you have life; if you're dead, you're free, you don't have to preach. You can be exempt from preaching if you're there, but that's the only uh reason, the only exception.
Otherwise, if you have some life, you have to preach. And ultimately preaching gives so much joy and so much experience of closeness to the Lord that nothing can compare with this experience.
By the very end of his life when Prabhupada was very sick, he was practically half dead, he could hardly do anything. Devotees would carry him on the pālaṅki.
Śrīla Prabhupāda, yāhāra jīvana chila nā śeṣa-paryanta dini balte-pārājāṅ yāra ḍhukā rīto takana jītake pālaṅki.
He couldn't walk, he couldn't do anything, he couldn't eat for months and months and months he he would not eat anything.
Evan Hatch Tinihache Agam uh Tini Hartilana Dacon Tinihache Avan Kilo Anik Mar uh Hadva Pura Marsha Tichani Tini Yamasilan.
The devotees would bring him on palanquin uh on the stage, and still Prabhupāda would sit on the āsana in front of so many thousands of people in Delhi. Prabhupāda, in the beginning he would start speaking very, very slowly.
In the beginning he would hear his own purport to Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam verse which his secretary would read. yei paḍilā, ṭīkā bhekā, śochi śrīmad-bhāgavata bujho, tini likhibā-karaena, śreḍīṭā paḍilā puraśana chila.
Then he would read, then he would start speaking very very slowly in a very weak voice. evaṁ yadi tini śabde tini dhara prabhāṣaṇa śurugolan. But in a few minutes he was roaring like a lion.
His Shakti, his energy was overwhelming. Everyone was shocked, you know, how this old man who cannot walk, you know, can speak with such a power. Because preaching gives life.
When we preach, we feel that Krishna is very close, he is there, he is with us.
Once Prabhupāda came to Australia, Prabhupāda Australia. And he said so he was staying in one house and he was practically alone there in this one house. But in a child And
he sent one devotee and he said to this devotee, bring somebody to me so that I could speak to him, so that I could preach, bring somebody in the mor i in the evening.
And this devotee he was looking and looking and looking frantically and he couldn't find anyone So ultimately he came alone to Śrīla Prabhupāda and he brought the garland to him.
So ultimately he came alone to Śrīla Prabhupāda and he brought the garland to him. And he put mal on his neck and Prabhupada says so. He put Mal on his mal on his neck and Prabhupada says, so Shay
Bhakti Hatshay He he asked with a big question mark. Where is where is somebody? You were supposed to bring somebody to me.
The Trija Maladan Kulan, Kara Shala Prabhupada Jigasakuratsan, uh Kiki. Prabhupada says, what is the use of this mali if I cannot speak with anyone? What is the use of this garland?
Then the Prabhupada Bala and the Tumishamaki Malata Puritan Karale Malata Puritan Karala Maniki. Prabhupada was definitely self-satisfied. He didn't need anyone to be satisfied. He was happy.
But at the same time he couldn't experience the complete happiness without speaking to somebody about Krishna.
Role of devotees in spreading divine mercy
Tashila Prabhupada Tini Muttma Vathini Amratmanam Bhutabita And that's our parampara. You know, the devotees are coming in this world to become the instruments of Krishna's compassion.
Śrīla Jīva Gosvāmī in Bhakti-sandarbha explains that compassion of Krishna, which is Vastu Shakti as I said yesterday, which is the essential Shakti of the Lord, cannot manifest by Krishna Himself.
Because he is too happy. It's essential quality, essential Shakti, essential energy of Bhagavan to manifest compassion, but he depends in manifesting his compassion on his devotees, on his followers.
Evan Bhagavan Takun uh Ottanda Prashanahan, Jagantridar, Onukampa, Jid Puthi Padashana Kurtha Baran, Kiddu Shitti A Onukampa Padashana Jano um Bhagavanthar Bhakti Nidhwar Shilhan Evan Because
to manifest compassion you have to have this feeling or experience of suffering. And Krishna doesn't have this experience of suffering. He never suffered in his life. He is always happy. How he can manifest compassion?
Compassion means anukampa, anukampa means you feel the sufferings of others. But Krishna doesn't have this anubhav, this experience of sufferings. He is always happy. The Christian Kapana said Dudasha Hogano Obika Mai.
Anukampa literally means from Sanskrit, Kampa means you trembling. Uh the Onukampa J uh Sanskrit or Kampomana se uh uh no no means you kampa you you you're you're trembling and Anukampa you know somebody is trembling and you start trembling because he is trembling.
In other words, you see somebody suffering and you feel the same suffering as he feels, or even more acute suffering. So Śrīla Jīva Gosvāmī makes this very important point.
He says that to manifest his most important quality of compassion, Krishna depends on his bhaktas. Because they they also very happy.
The real bhaktas who feel experience of bhakti in the heart they also very happy but uh they still remember how they were suffering without Krishna and therefore they can manifest compassion.
Taparo Bhaktara Krishna Krishnan Shango Vat Krishna Shamatovina, Shay Avastai, Tinja, Dukon Puratan, A Dukkha Vojal Damadhasan, Shay If
you remember how you were suffering without Krishna, please raise your hands and chant Haribol. How I can believe you that you were suffering without Krishna before I couldn't.
Uh a huridhanish ram and many had said a uh Krishna Krishn uh the Krishna Makina Kurtin, but Krishna Shamondo Chilana, Takanapra uh Dudashabratto Chilan. So and therefore only when the Lord comes
in the role of a devotee he also manifests compassion to the greatest possible extent the Krishna Jakon Bhakti Rupe A Jagote Abudhina Hoachilan Takhontini e Olukampar Sharbo Drishtam Tasthapan Kuratilan.
Only when he comes in a form of Gaurāṅga Mahāprabhu, he manifests this compassion to the extent which was never manifested before. Jakan uh Shiman Chaitana Mahaprabhupe, A Jagate, Abhibutan Horacilem,
Takon Tini, uh Onukampa Podash and Koratilan, Shiti Tini are Onokono Avotare, three shitti Podashan Koranni.
And therefore he empowers his associates, his devotees, his followers to greatest extent, go out and preach, manifest this compassion towards the living entities. Ivan Sheikh Arani Tinitar Onugami Batar Pashadar
Ketani Bibunastana Patiya Chilen Pajar Kajashampadjana. He tells Nityānanda Prabhu get out of this puri jiao go to Bengal preach. But even before that, he was travelling everywhere trying to manifesting his compassion.
Caitanya Mahāprabhu delivering a washerman
And I wanted to finish this class by telling a beautiful, beautiful little story about Gauranga Mahaprabhu and his compassion. It is Shunda uh Lila Mala Mantham. This story Yeah onukampa Bodhashito Hachila This story
This story is coming from Govinda Dāsa. Govinda Dāsa ya it's a personal diary of his own servant. So this story is from the time when Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu was traveling from Bengal to Arisa to As
we know he took sannyās in um what's the name is he took sannyās when he was twenty-four years old, he left Navadvīpa, uh he went to what is the city town where he took sannyās? Katva. Katva. Yeah in Katva. Katva.
So he took sannyās in Katva and then he wanted to go to Vrindavan immediately. Brindavana Janud Desha Prastut. And Katva we know Katva means Katva means the uh the torn. Torn.
It's it it's it becomes like a prick, torn within the heart of the devotees. Therefore they call this city katwa. The katwa manahat say uh bhitsinnaha ba uh kata kata katha kata kata.
And he initially wanted to go immediately to Vrindavan, but Nityānanda Prabhu brought him back to Shantipur. And in Shantipur Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu after accepting sannyās, taking sannyās met with his devotees.
And especially when he met with his mother, with his elderly mother, his heart was you know he he started crying. Among Shekana Bridhu Mata Shankata Shakasilo among uh thini uh gochilan koshti.
He said to his mother, I must have been crazy. He said only a crazy man, only Pagle can commit such a crime against such a loving mother.
The Ajanhatse Unma Babagal Bhakti Akmatrahatse Varsal Matar Bhutti, Ehar Asuran Guttava. You gave so much love, so much compassion to me, and I cruelly turned
away from you and took sannyās. Remain Purchase and Pragar Bhalobasha Puritja Ideas and Amihatse Shay Bhalobashaki Ami Ahakuruchi. I belong to you, now you order me, whatever you will tell me, I will do.
If you want me to live with you for the rest of my life, just order to me and I will give up my sannyās, I will come to you and I will live in your house. And I will take care of you in your old age.
And Shachimata she started crying. Now I only have one request for you.
Please stay somewhere nearby. Uh to me uh stana to me I wasankaru. Don't go to Vrindavan, Vrindavan is too far. Uh to me the Vrindavan Jayana Vrindavan on a duri.
If you stay in Jagannath Puri, then at least every now and then I will see somebody who would see you and that would give solace to my heart.
And Caitanya Mahāprabhu said, yes, my mother, I will definitely do what you ordered me to do. Ebangtakhan Chaitanya Mahabrabhu and Tikan Shimata uhishya Amitama need this following Kuru.
So, uh, after few days in Shantipur, uh, Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu and his little group of five devotees went to Jagannath Puri by foot. By feet.
And when they crossed the border of Arisa, they were passing by little village, little uh Aresan village.
And as you know, when Caitanya Mahāprabhu was going to Orissa to Jagannath Puri, he was not walking, he was running. The strongest desire to see Lord Jagannath, the Lord of his heart was was
so vividly manifested in his heart that he couldn't walk, he was running Krishna Krishna means all attractive, so Jagannath, he was the magnet who was attracting Lord Caitanya.
Lord Caitanya was running by driven by this force of attraction, by the force of his love.
Krishna Manayatse Sharva Goshak, the Krishna Jagannathu Vatha Shank, Sri Akashtiata Pragana Chila, Jatiniatari Dakvachila, Natiniya He couldn't see anything, he was just seeing Jagannath, Jagannath, Jagannath, he was chanting, chanting, chanting. He couldn't see anything around him.
But all of a sudden when they were passing through this town, this little village, he saw a dhobi who was, uh, doing his business by, you know, you know, by washing the clothes of some people. You know, this does, there was no washing machine at that time, so he was just Caitanya Mahāprabhu sees this dhobi who is doing his business and his heart, his heart becomes totally melted.
He says he got the human form of life. The Tinihatse Murush even love parasan. He's supposed to do some spiritual practice and self-realization. He's supposed to chant Krishna's holy name.
Uh Krishna Dipon Kitankaraochi, Tini Murushu devotion, the Shay Manushuvan Shopavar, Kara Pashta Karaochi. But instead of this, he is just His whole life will be wasted. He will just do this and then he will die.
Uhri nashtra godachan emangodri mittuvangurven. Uselessly he will waste this valuable form of life.
So without saying anything to Lord Nityānanda and Jagadānanda and all of his other associates, he just runs towards this dhobi.
All his parcels they're behind him because he's running so fast and he is ahead of them and they are just behind him, just maybe 10-15 minutes behind him. So he approaches this Dobi who is doing this and
and he comes to him and says, please say haribol. shaithapasaki bosal and takah This Dobi, he he just, you know this Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, he was totally absorbed in Jagannath.
And this Dobi was totally absorbed in this chuk chuk chuk chuk chuk. He is also in his samadhi, in his dobhi samadhi. He just he just doesn't hear anything.
All of a sudden somebody just gets into his samadhi and says, say haribol.
He looks a little bit and he sees some orange clothes behind him he d he doesn't even he doesn't even turn his head uh towards somebody he just does this and he sees this some orange clothes the tiny atta
shamadi bagnatsilan, the hotashuntape, tini gurataki, shutumatro, gerua, kapura jekta base in Argusabani. And he knows orange clothes means sannyasi, sannyasi means beggar, beggar means he
he will will try to get some money from me are giruah kapur manashi manajari or vikari mana gisu uh Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and Sis Sei Haribo, say Haribo, Se Haribo. Mahaprabhu Bhar Bal Siddhavala, Harival Vala, Harival Vala.
And this do basis, I have no money. Takun said, hi. need your taka. Say haribol.
And he thinks you know all these sannyasis they're very tricky. I say haribol and then if he will tell me, give me some money because you said horrible. There must be some trick behind it. So he's just he he's determined.
I will not say haribol, no. So but this sannyasi, he is just insisting, say haribol just once, only one time, ek bar, ek bar, haribol.
Among uh Eishan Nashi, Mahabrup, uh Virotiland, a Mantini Coop, uh, you can't think of the Bharma Volsil and that to me, horrible wall, horrible wall, horrible, like Barmakov.
So then this Dobi he gets a brilliant idea, he says I am not like He
says, I am busy if I will only say Haribol, who will do the work for me. I need money, you know, so I have to do this, so I have no time to save, to say something. What you want me to say.
And then Chaitanya Mahaprabhu says something, please listen very carefully, something really amazing.
He says that's the only reason why you cannot say Haribo. So if this is the only reason, please give me this dirty clothes, I will do your job, and you say haribul. I will do this and you will say Haribo. That's little too much for this little Dhobi.
That's he says this, your brāhmaṇa, your sannyāsī, you're not supposed to do this. This is a dirty job for low class people.
You know, Dhobis are not very high class people. They are not they are really very low class. And this sannyasi says, you know, I will do this for you. No, that that was he was he cannot do this.
Then you know, He says to Caitanya Mahāprabhu, you're not supposed to do it. And then Caitanya Mahāprabhu says, then say Haribol. He says, okay, I will say what you want. So what shall I say? Tamati Praja Namitanyani.
Caitanya Mahāprabhu says, say Haribol. To me, uh, haribô bhālo. He says, Haribol. Haribol. Caitanya Mahāprabhu says, ek bār more. Āro ek bār. Then he says, Caitanya Mahāprabhu says, tin tīn bār.
So when he says three times haribol, you know, then uh he becomes chanting like a madman. Haribol, haribol, Haribol, haribol, Haribol, haribol, Haribol.
He feels so much happiness within his heart, he's just chanting, haribol, haribol, haribol, haribol, haribol, haribol, haribol and Caitanya
Mahāprabhu, he goes away, he sits under the tree and he looks and this guy, he is chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa, Haribol, Hari...
the holy name is dancing on his tongue and he is dancing with the holy name and he cannot stop dancing. So in a few minutes his uh parsots, his associates are coming
you know, Caitanya Mahāprabhu is sitting under the tree and this guy is just, you know, dancing and dancing and dancing. And his hairs are standing on end and his whole you know body is trembling and tears are flowing and he's just you know he's just chanting Hare Krishna.
evam haste se byakti cuḍlās ḍholi galā, tāra śarīr kampilā, evam tāra cokhe hāsite aśru vigalita hāsilā, evam tini haste nitya karilā.
So Nityānanda Prabhu asks, what did you do, what did you do to him? What did you do with this guy? And Caitanya Mahāprabhu just smiles, he says, nothing. I just gave him holy name through... uh, so
they're sitting there watching and they're very happy to see how he's dancing like like a madman.
And very soon his wife, the wife of this dobby, comes with the plate of rice. Because you know he's so busy, you know, he he he cannot waste his time going back home and you know coming back so he brings lunch to him. And she sees this very strange scene, you know, her husband is dancing there, you know.
Haribol, Haribol, Haribol. She said I never saw that you are such a good dancer. And he doesn't hear her; he's just Haribol, Haribol, Haribol, he's just dancing there. And she becomes very angry, you know.
Why, why are you wasting your time with this Haribol? You know, what is going on? And then she comes closer to him. And she looks in the eyes of her husband. And she sees that her husband doesn't see her.
His eyes are there, but he doesn't see anything. He's just... So she, being a simple woman, she decides, you know, probably some bhūta entered into him. Otherwise, why would he do this?
She becomes really frantic and she runs back to the village.
She runs in the street of the village and she calls all help, help, help, some bhūta entered into my husband, the act of śama-śamika āsraika-se-karosha-jorosha-ja-kara and the whole village is running to see this, you know, this dhobī. You know, like it is in in Bangladesh or in India, something happens and already you know the big crowd is around you.
So they come and they see this guy just jumping, Haribol, Haribol, Haribol, Hare Kṛṣṇa, Hare Kṛṣṇa. You know, and he's crying and you know they see around and they're really, they're afraid what's going on.
So this woman, she says, please do something with my husband. Please save him. You know, please do something. You know, is there anyone who is bold enough to approach my husband? Do something about it.
śabdaṁ de-sarvanta, abrahama śamījī-anakī-chikurun, aprāhādiku said, uh taśaṁga taike giban, taikegi hatsīr, uh śaṁtuka śakurun. Then one young man comes to this husband who is jumping and crying Haribol, Haribol.
So one young man approaches him. And he touches him, he wants to somehow rather to shake him a little bit or whatever. You know, he touches him.
And as soon as he touches him, he feels that the whole body is just started trembling and you know all this romāñca, all this you know his his hair stand on end. And he feels so much happiness within his heart.
And this second man starts chanting Haribol, Haribol, Haribol. And he becomes so happy then he runs towards his villagers and he starts embracing everyone.
And as soon as he embraces, you know, whoever he embraces start saying Haribo, Haribo. Alingana Madhakulan Tara Shawibal Hariwalgul and Astashrugulam.
And very soon the whole village is just dancing there. Haribo, Haribo, Haribo, Haribo, Haribo.
And Caitanya Mahaprabhu sits there and watches this and says, very nice. Mahabru Vashavash Anti Lapalan Evan Tikanseva Tikansa.
And he said, this is why I came here to this world. And he says very soon the whole world will be dancing and chanting.
To give the holy name to one little Dhobi, totally insignificant living entity, he was ready to wash his clothes. And this is the condition of all the living entities.
When we approach them and we say please chant Haribol, they say we're busy. Sorry. They always say the same thing, I have to earn my money. Right? Tara Shamshumaya, Ake Besto Or
sometimes they say, you know, you are sadus, we have no money, please get away from us. But we say we don't need your money. And if you need, we will work for you, please tell Haribov.
Because you cannot be happy without And this is compassion. So this festival is called oh really sorry. I'm so late. But this is his fault because he's translating too slow.
Living a life dedicated to active compassion

When we manifest compassion, we feel very joyous in our heart. This experience of compassion is the most joyful experience because this is the experience of bhakti.
