Conception of Krishna within Vasudeva

0:00Dear Śrīla Prabhupāda, please accept our most humble obeisances at your lotus feet. Yesterday, on the occasion of Sri Krishna Janmashtamy,

0:14we read a purport from the 10th Canto of Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, second chapter, where in connection with the conception of Krishna.

0:30You're writing that when Vasudeva when he conceived Krishna within his mind, he became extremely effulgent and unapproachable by both devotees and the demons, including Kamsa.

0:55And in the purport to this verse, you're writing that this is still true when Krishna enters the heart or the mind of people even today. The amazing effect of this occurrence is

1:15that such people become unapproachable. Unapproachable in the sense that nobody can approach them in their achievements, in their highness of their spiritual acumen.

1:37So it was very clear that you're also talking about yourself. Of course, being naturally humble as a devotee, you're not mentioning your name. But in any case, whether you meant it or not, it was very clear

Overcoming impossibility through divine connection

2:01that when you're talking about this you also uh it it it's it's not possible to avoid thinking about your incomparable achievements. The verse in this connection was saying that even Kamsa

2:23couldn't come close to Mahārāja Vasudeva because he had become intimately connected with Krishna himself, and therefore nothing was impossible for him.

2:38Your famous phrase about impossible being a word in the fool's dictionary is actually an indication that that when somebody is connected with Krishna, nothing is impossible for him.

2:55You're basically, by saying this, encouraging us to come in contact with Krishna, not in a theoretical way but in a very practical and tangible way.

3:09And when we are in contact with the Almighty Supreme Personality of Godhead, then naturally nothing is impossible.

3:22And you proved it by your achievements, by your life, by your mission, by doing something which from the normal estimation is totally completely impossible.

3:38And in this way you proved this statement of Śukadeva Gosvāmī, that when Krishna enters the heart and the mind of a devotee,

Misunderstandings of extraordinary spiritual success

3:50this devotee becomes unapproachable in the sense that nobody can really understand how he is doing what he is doing. People still to this day, and the more time will pass, the more prominent it will become. They admire and wonder how was it possible what you did.

4:19Of course your godbrothers were wondering and couldn't understand how you did.

4:27Some adopted strange way of explaining this but, saying that Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī was a good businessman, therefore he could sell Hare Kṛṣṇa to the whole world. But obviously, it's not the real explanation.

4:46Kṛṣṇa entered your heart and your mind and because Kṛṣṇa entered your heart and your mind, nothing was impossible for you.

Mission to accomplish impossible spiritual feats

4:59So you proved that nothing is impossible for somebody who has this connection with Kṛṣṇa. And not only proved this, but also called us to do the same, basically ordered us to

5:17stop limiting yourself by saying that this is impossible from all human estimation, you literally ordered us to do something impossible.

5:35He said once you said that if I had at least uh eighteen people who are completely surrendered to me, I would conquer over the world.

5:48You did conquer all the world and I'm sure your followers who are following your footsteps and trying to be the true followers will also prove your glories and the glories of Lord Kṛṣṇa who makes somebody in whose heart he enters to do something wonderful and impossible.

6:18So thank you for giving us this impossible mission and helping us to fulfill it. Hare Kṛṣṇa. Thank you very much.
