Delete Your Account

How to delete your account and data in the Listen to Sadhu app

You can delete your account and all of its associated data at any time, directly from inside the Listen to Sadhu mobile app. This page explains how to do it and exactly what is removed.

How to delete your account

The Delete Account option is available inside the app while you are signed in:

  1. Open the Settings tab in the app.
  2. Tap your account (your name or email shown at the top of the Account section).
  3. In the menu that appears, tap Delete account.
  4. Confirm by choosing one of the two options:
    • Delete account and wipe data โ€” deletes your account on our servers and removes all local data stored on this device.
    • Delete account, keep my data โ€” deletes your account on our servers but leaves the locally stored data (chats, notes, playlists, downloaded audio, listening history) on your device so you can keep using the app anonymously.

If you do not see a Delete account option, you are not signed in. The app can be used fully anonymously; without an account there is no server-side account to delete, and you can simply uninstall the app to remove everything.

What is deleted

When you delete your account, all of your data is removed completely. Nothing is retained on our side. Specifically:

  • Your account โ€” id, email, name, and profile picture link.
  • Sign-in links โ€” the Apple and Google sign-in connections attached to your account.
  • All sessions โ€” every device signed in to the account is logged out.
  • Server logs and chat records โ€” your chat history (your messages, the lecture excerpts we found, the model's replies) and any related diagnostic records and counters are deleted from our servers.

What remains

The only thing that can remain is the local data stored on your own device โ€” chats, notes, playlists, downloaded audio, and listening history. This never leaves your device. You can remove it too by choosing Delete account and wipe data during the deletion flow, or by uninstalling the app.

Retention

Account, server logs, and chat records are deleted immediately when you delete your account โ€” we do not keep them for any retention period.

Two things are outside our control: messages sent during chat use travel through OpenRouter to the language-model provider (currently Google's Gemini models), which keep them for a short period (typically up to 30 days) under their own anti-abuse policies; and purchase records retained by Apple or Google for the duration mandated by those platforms.

Request account deletion by email

If you cannot use the in-app option โ€” for example, you no longer have the app installed โ€” you can request deletion by email and we will remove your account and data for you. Please write from the email address linked to your account if possible.
